DW is probably my favorite player on the team so I say this out of love, but the dude has been cheeks to start the year.  He can't defend the ball, he can't throw it in the ocean, he's hurting us at both ends of the court.  We need more from him.

If this team is going to over-achieve without burning JB out by mid-December, it'll happen because DW plugs into the #2 role and holds it down.  Right now it's looking like way too much for him.  He's one of the best role players in the league but being a featured guy is a different beast.

Really shocked they put it in JBs hands there.  Bad idea.

They threw him a grenade.  He had to make a move through the middle of a double team with no time.  I acknowledge that his handle is spotty but even surehanded guards are going to struggle with that one.

Coach needs to put his guys in better positions on these plays.  No reason for a guard-heavy team to crack under a press like we do.  White, Pritchard, and Simons have to be better under duress.

I'll take the win anyway.

Yeah no criticism for Jaylen from me on that play. He was in a tough spot. Only 2 seconds. He had to go for it when he did. Credit to Philly for good D. They forced the turnover. Unfortunate for Jaylen.

Just wouldn't have put it in his hands. Once he had it in that situation, not much he could do.

Joe rushed over to the official to take a TO to advance the ball.... only to draw up a play to inbound it into the backcourt, where PP got trapped.

Someone wanna fill me in on Joe's genius here?

I?m guessing the goal was to kill time, but Pritchard got himself in a bad position, he over dribbleD

i like mazzulla as a coach, but yeah, his ATO schemes are usually not so hot. Stevens should hire a ATO coach for him.

Can?t believe Mazzulla?s timeout almost lost us the game. White was fouled and going to the line. Instead we had the Jaylen TO and then the Minott 0-2 FTs. Great D to overcome those mistakes and finish it off

I understand that the Cs were fortunate to take this one, but they were in the game and held the lead most of the game.  Lots of good things happening with this team.  They will lose a good number of games, but this is not a terrible team.

This is on point. DW thrived as the #3 or #4 option. Now defenses  are putting more pressure on him and he hasn?t adjusted yet. PP having a bad start hasn?t helped in this regard as well.

Wondering if he will be traded and he knows it.

Game ball to coach Mazz? Who says no.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

philly had 13 fouls to boston 24
pritchard, hauser, white shot 4-20 on three pointers

and they won. amazing. when their shooting improves this will be a fun team.

It can go to him, but he needs to be in a better position.  He caught on the wrong side of halfcourt facing the wrong direction.  At least get the guy on the other side of the timeline so he can turtle up and draw the foul rather than pull some whirly acrobatic noise to split a double.  Just a very poorly designed play.

Not letting Pritchard off the hook either.  He's the one that needed to be rescued with a timeout because our 6'0" PG can't handle the ball in crunch time.  These guards need to be a plus for us and so far this year they're struggling.

This 3-game streak makes you start to think about JTs return.  It probably will be a topsy-turvy year - one week thinking they're pretty good and the next week thinking about a draft pick. Minott and Hugo are beginning to look like consistent contributors.  Glad Minott had the end of game experience.  Great key rebound; a couple of FT misses.  But being out there and competing when it matters is great for him.  Hugo too.

And btw - Xavier Tillman was out there and did his job!  Nice work by Tillman and a needed three!!

Just had a look at the Sixers Reddit. They?re all moaning about the refs? they must?ve not checked the box score to see that they had a massive free-throw disparity in their favor
