The shooting in this game so far has been ridiculous. What a close to the half by the Celtics, though.

Minott is lowkey defending these CLE towers (Allen + Mobley) fairly well, wow

Huge difference with Minott defending over Garza. I like Garza. He is working. But Minott makes an impact.  He just needs to calm down a little. I think he will figure that out.

Nice to see this team gel. It's a growing pain, but win or lose tonight I see that they progresses each game so far.

Turnovers are close, edge 8-6 for the Celtics.
OReb's are advantage Celtics 9-2.
FTA are close, edge Cavs 12-10.
3PTM are close, edge Celtics 14-13.

So basically it comes down to the offensive rebounds favoring the Celtics and the Celtics shooting better from 2 at 12-21 (57%) vs 5-12 (42%) for the Cavs.

Queta has held his own mostly too. That's encouraging.

Hugo, Queta and Minott can absolutely be part of the next championship team in our bench

minott's box score line looks good. only 5 points but the other counting stats look nice. how is he doing? do the celtics run any plays for him or does he mostly park in the corner on offense?

also, pritchard continues to struggle shooting the ball. imagine if pritchard actually shot his career average in 3 pointers. celtics w-l record would look different.

It would be nice to see the Celtics come out of the half and put this game away with an early run.

But i don't think the Cavs are going to go away quietly.

He mostly generates his own opportunities by crashing the glass and generating turnovers. In the half court he mostly waits for kick outs then clearly likes to drive the closeout rather than shoot.

Minott's still learning how to fit into the half-court offense.  Right now he kinda just parks in the corner like you mentioned, and while he displays a willingness to cut, he doesn't have a feel for the timing just yet.  There was one play in the second quarter where he cut at the wrong time and brought his man right into DW's driving lane.  These are things he'll (hopefully) pick up with experience.

Impactful defender and rebounder though, and can be a plus in the transition game when we're able to run.

looking to see if Cavs start crashing the offensive boards heavily this half and if so, how the C's handle it

There we go Minott.  That corner three ball would be really really useful if he could hit it consistently.

Minott from the corner! Good pass from JB.

Already glad Minott is under contract for next year.
