The Knicks shot the ball poorly overall, 38%.  Just can't rebound.

Brad knows better, he knows the holes in the roster before the season started.
It's easy to get focused on the immediate performance of the team but I think the goal this season is to figure out what next season's team is going to look like. First they have to figure out what their identity will be then go out and try to acquire players who fit. Maybe tonight was a start?

Looks like Hugo is going to be involved as long as he doesn't shoot his way out of the rotation.

We had zero fastbreak point this game. We were supposed to out run and outwork the other teams?at least that was what was being talked about during the preseason. Rebounding obviously has a lot to do with this.

For all of the issues with the depth on this team, it was the guys you're sure about who kinda let them down tonight.  Pritchard and White couldn't hit, and Brown needs to value the basketball.  Maybe we steal that one if our best players play better.
both pritchard and white have started abysmally this season. pritchar maybe is too nervous about carrying the team, being a starter. it is affected his shooting i think.

Agreed.  I'm more comfortable with PP coming in off the bench hunting his shot against the second unit of other teams.  I just haven't really seen that he gets results against top-level defense.

Conversely I think I want Simons in the starting lineup to play off of White and Brown, rather than being the main ball-handler of the second unit.  I kinda don't like him leading the offense, especially with some of the lineups Joe tried in the first half.  Let him play next to some other on-ball talent.

Just watched delayed replay. My initial reaction is JB is not a number one option. Hugo at 19 years of age looks super legit- not sure his plus or minus but what I saw was a Huge plus. PP seems after two games, he is not ready to start.

Without a number one, not sure we win 35 games. I would not rush JT back this year.

A lot of JB?s turnovers came off of double teams and him trying to navigate through traffic. He certainly misses JT?s gravity. He?ll need to learn to give up the ball earlier and trust his teammates more.

$300M Jaylen Brown not a number one option and a turnover machine...is a strong disappointment

Agree with all of this, but in fairness to him, when he does find teammates they're flinging bricks.  I think it's less a trust issue and more just forcing it when shooters go cold around him.  Forcing it through Anunoby, Bridges, and Hart is generally a bad idea.

It absolutely is a huge disappointment. I hope he proves me wrong. So far, I see a poor mans Pippen- thats not horrible but its not 300m either. It makes me miss JT that much more. This is not the season to rush him back.

Love me some Hugo! Great development today. Changed the game with his defense and energy. Just could not buy a bucket late.

I loved the way Simons was competing too.

Our offense needs work. Looked a bit better today, but the flow still isn't there. Weirdly I think Garza is going to help that.

Ok?but seriously, go back in time and make a different decision. Low ball him?, let him go to free agency?, was there a trade option out there? Feel free to ignore his part in a banner in ur brighter revisionist history.

No, I agree, we had to before we extended Tatum. But it was a number one contract for a strong amazing number two player.

Honestly there's not much distinction between a #1 contract and a #2 contract in the current CBA.  They both usually get a max deal.

The size of his deal had more to do with timing than anything else.

Im sorry but JB needs to average 30+ this year because if the roles were reversed everyone would expect JT to avg 30+, and he would. According to a lot of people JB is better than JT so no excuse.

Also super disappointed in PP, hes been straight up garbage so far this year and his attitude and body language suck.

Im already sold on Hugo, he needs to be starting in place of Hauser lol
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

This is spot on. TP.
