down 12 with 6 something minutes left. theoretically possible to win for the celtics, but i suspect that if the gap gets smaller the knicks will turn it on.

still, i can hope.  :)

I would stick with Hugo in there if I were Joe. It seems like we cant afford to lose his energy right now. It?s actually kind of crazy how hard he plays - Avery Bradley-esque.

I'd guess that the Celtics have actually outplayed the Knicks in terms of first-shot halfcourt offense. They've -12 from three in a game they trail by 12, and -15 in second chance points in a game they trail by twelve. If they just close out possessions with a rebound they'd be up in this game.

That?s a nice description, Hugo is a bigger AB!

i think gonzales is smarter than bradley and will be a better player. the big question i have is his shooting. i hope mazzulla gives this kid some minutes.

Now if he could develop in to a 40% 3 pt shooter like AB, that would be something.

I'm not sure Mazzulla has much choice, lol.  Scheierman's last good game was sometime last April or so, and I haven't seen Walsh demonstrate an NBA-level skill yet.  Minott I'm higher on (despite the DNP tonight) but I think Hugo will get plenty of minutes just out of necessity, if not merit.

I think he's in the rotation until he plays his way out of it. They need him on the floor if they want to have any hope of getting stops when it matters.

Walsh was supposed to be the energy guy that Hugo is now.

I dont really think theyre comparable players offensively. Where they are similar is the unrelenting defensive energy.

Celtics have 0 fast break points, have given up 19 offensive rebounds, are -10 from the foul line, getting outscored from three and somehow are only down 12.

This game is potentially there for the taking if our good shooters would just make some shots.
