Simons looks uncomfortable with the ball in his hands.  Tentative and even a bit slow.  Not much ability to beat his man off the bounce, which is surprising to me.  Hope it's just a system familiarity thing.

I'm seeing the same thing.  His handle is fair at best, but I was expecting to see more ability to at least break his defender down from time to time, create at least some action in the PnR by getting downhill.  Maybe he's just trying to play within himself. 

One thing that I'm quite certain of is playmaking will be a problem when DWhite is not on the floor.  Without Tatum we don't have a player who can consistently create for others.

PP does a nice job...this game 7 assists so far.

I have a lot of confidence in PP and I know he's up to the challenge, but I think it's just a lot to ask of him to take over a primary playmaking role on a nightly basis while having to also take on a high scoring burden.

Tillman on both ends! Man he looks alive, and way more smoother/quicker than all of 2024-25 (he's not a fast guy in general but he's looking a lot like his Grizzlies days)

As rough as Scheierman has been trying to run offense in this preseason, I actually think his defense is better than its reputation.  He's vulnerable in iso but his court awareness is quite good and he can get some deflections as a result. 

EDIT:  Right on cue, Scheierman with a clean pickoff in the open court and then coughs up a turnover trying to initiate a possession, lol.
