Simons has looked off so far.

There's a nice drive by Simons.  Came off the screen with purpose and good finish.  More of that.

Every time I watch him Hugo surprises with his size, he's taller with a longer wingspan than you expect. Also love the energy he plays with. If he can shoot even a little I think he'll have a long NBA career.

He reminds me of a young Dan Majerle. The physicality & hustle he plays with at 6-6/6-7. Tough defense. Coming up with rebounds and loose balls. Guy is a competitor.

That skip pass by Scheierman to Boucher is what I was missing from him last night.  I don't need him out here chucking.  Play the game the right way and share the rock.  His vision is good when he uses it.

EDIT:  And now a great lob to Minott on the inbound.  Good!

Im curious as to why Minnesota didnt really play Minott and why they ultimately let him go. He looks exactly like the kind of versatile player they need on the wing.

The Timberwolves were a very deep team last year.

Edwards/Gobert/Randle/McDaniels/Reid/DiVincenzo/Alexander-Walker/Conley were a very good established top 8 and all stayed pretty healthy. Then they had two first round picks to get minutes to in Dillingham/Shannon. They simply didn't have a lot of minutes for Minott or Garza.

I think its very possible those guys are legit rotation players who just got buried on a deep team last year. From what I understand they let Minott go so he could pursue opportunities for more playing time this year, sort of a good will gesture.

This has been an oddly Chris Boucher centric broadcast.

He's a former raptor who the fanbase liked a lot. Kind of a Luke Kornet type for them.

Yeah, agree with this.  Ant/McDaniels/NAW/DiVincenzo is a very strong group on the wing.  They just didn't have room to get Minott on the court too.

It happens.  Very nearly happened to us with Pritchard.

We're gonna love Boucher. I always thought he was underrated, and was behind Poeltl and Barnes in Toronto. With an opportunity he can thrive. He averaged 10/5 last year on 17 minutes a game and is capable of nailing some spot up open 3s
