I?m really curious as to why Minnesota didnt really play Minott and why they ultimately let him go. He looks exactly like the kind of versatile player they need on the wing.
The Timberwolves were a very deep team last year.
Edwards/Gobert/Randle/McDaniels/Reid/DiVincenzo/Alexander-Walker/Conley were a very good established top 8 and all stayed pretty healthy. Then they had two first round picks to get minutes to in Dillingham/Shannon. They simply didn't have a lot of minutes for Minott or Garza.
I think its very possible those guys are legit rotation players who just got buried on a deep team last year. From what I understand they let Minott go so he could pursue opportunities for more playing time this year, sort of a good will gesture.
