At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yeah, turns out the Spurs are a pretty good team.

Man, what?s happened to the Knicks? They?ve completely fallen off since Vegas.

Jimmy Butler has torn his right ACL. Obviously he will be out for the season.

At his age, this could be a career ending injury.

GSW should keep Kuminga now. They need a 2nd shot creator alongside Steph.

No point in trading Kuminga for an old veteran (like Vucevic) now that Jimmy is out of action. They should only trade him for a long term asset if they do trade him.

I'm pretty sure the issue there is Kerr just either hates and/or doesn't believe in Kuminga. That's why Kuminga's been frustrated and wanted out for a while. They've had many chances to play him in recent years consistently and Kerr choses not to. That relationship is over.

The Warriors feel done anyways. They're basically just a mediocre play-in team at this point and that was true even with Butler.

Yikes for Butler. Tough loss for the Warriors...time to rebuild.

Now I wonder does Horford have regrets leaving the Celtics for greener pastures.

I wonder what those teams might offer.

Magic

I don't think the Magic trade F Wagner or Banchero for Towns. Bane for Towns would be interesting. That would be a fun small ball Knicks lineup with Brunson - Bane - Mikal Bridges - Anunoby - M Robinson. Orlando don't have a shooter at SG to replace Bane. Towns would be awesome at center next to F Wagner & Banchero with the spacing / shot making Towns would provide.

I don't know that the Magic could afford Towns, Franz, Banchero & Bane all together. What would that offer look like? Suggs, J Isaac, and picks. I wonder if they could fit Wendell Carter Jr into the deal. Josh Hart earns too much money. Yabu & Dadiet plus Towns for Suggs, Isaac, Wendell works.

Grizzlies

Straight swap of JJJ for Towns. Wow, JJJ makes hardly any money. KCP + JJJ for Towns works.

A smaller return for NYK. Zach Edey as a replacement center. So Edey & M Robinson. Santi Aldama as the new starting PF. KCP as a cap makeweight. 3 for 1. Rebalance the roster. No star return. Maybe get some picks.

Hornets

Sounds like the Hornets want to move Miles Bridges. Bridges & Colin Sexton for Towns works.

Bridges would be an interesting option at forward alongside Mikal Bridges & Anunoby. A three man forward rotation. A small forward rotation though. No real size. Not sure how much value Sexton would have for the Knicks given they already have Miles McBride & Jordan Clarkson alongside Brunson. Not sure that deal is that desireable for NYC. Plus picks I guess.

Would they give up Brandon Miller for Towns?
Would NY even be interested in B Miller?

I don't think much of B Miller.

Not sure if there is a better team fit for Towns than NYK. I'd be moving on from Brunson before Towns as there are a lot of teams that would pick up Brunson for his offense today and overpay. Towns needs to fit a team.

Maybe we see the Zion (+picks) for Towns swap. Another is a trade for Giannis. I could see those possibly working
