As time moves on toward the deadline Cs players values should be rising: Hugo, Sam, Simons, Walsh.  To some extent even Baylor.  Garza too though he doesn?t seem likely to go. I don?t particularly want to lose any of them as the team feels like a team, but Brad should be able to get something decent in return for a package of two or three plus picks.

We still need a legitimate big, so it's good that their values are rising. Not all of them can stay here forever

If I was Golden State I would be looking at a Jackson Jr trade involving Kuminga and a draft pick.

Jackson Jr has his flaws but he would balance out their starting five much better than current constructed.

I don't think Kuminga has that type of value. I was thinking more along the lines of Vucevic from Chicago. Chicago has had interest in Kuminga in the past. Vuce is 35 years old. Skilled big man. Fits the GSW offense. Draymond and Jimmy to cover him on defense.

Also, let?s be honest, Jokic isn?t going anywhere. Giannis is likely going to ask for a trade before then. Donovan Mitchell seems happy in Cleveland as he signed an extension. They also have a better team than Miami.

Morant

There have been preliminary discussions between the Heat and Grizzlies regarding Morant's availability, according to a league source. However, those talks have not escalated and a deal is not imminent, with one source characterizing the Heat's connection to Morant as "premature."

The Toronto Raptors expressed meaningful interest in Trae Young before his trade from the Atlanta Hawks to the Washington Wizards and have now emerged as a potential destination for Ja Morant as the Memphis Grizzlies explore his market, sources said.

Toronto was one of only two teams beyond Washington to engage in substantive discussions regarding Young before he was dealt to the Wizards. The Raptors have been characterized by rival executives as one of the most active franchises pursuing a significant trade acquisition ahead of the February 5 deadline.

Toronto is an interesting destination for Morant.

"In talking to executives around the league, I just have to report that I don't think Ja's value is very high right now," said Brian Windhorst on NBA Today. "He is having a terrible shooting season. As he's gotten farther into his career and he's dealt with injuries, he's driven to the basket less and less and has shot more and more.

"Right now, if you're looking at interest in Ja Morant, you're looking at buying low. And that's what I suspect the kind of offers the Grizzlies are going to get."

Kuminga

The Warriors have lost significant negotiating leverage since the summer. All the DNP-CDs for Kuminga, combined with the strained relationship, have emboldened suitors to lower their price point on a possible deal.

The Sacramento Kings still have significant interest in Kuminga, but their final summer offer of veteran guard Malik Monk and a 2030 first-round pick is no longer in play. The Kings are aware Kuminga's value has dropped and are no longer willing to offer the pick.

League and team sources confirmed the Los Angeles Lakers have some interest in Kuminga, though it remains unclear if talks will unfold. The Warriors are aware of the intrigue and waiting to see how that situation evolves.

Lakers should stay away from Kuminga. Same issues in LAL that he had in GSW. He is not an off-the-ball player.

"I could actually see that happening," one player said regarding the possibility of Kuminga remaining with the Warriors past the deadline.

I'd love to see GSW move Kuminga and get someone who can actually help their team.
