Shocking.  Absolutely shocking.  Guy has always been the picture of health.  Who would've seen this coming?

Dallas Mavericks' Anthony Davis is likely to undergo surgery to repair ligament damage in his left hand and miss several months, sources tell ESPN. His Dallas season is essentially over, given the prognosis and the Mavs' direction.

Fascinating development: The Mavericks are having renewed Davis trade talks with multiple interested teams, sources said. If moved to a playoff contender, the return timeline could allow Davis to return during the postseason while establishing himself for the long-term elsewhere.

Does that end Dallas' playoff hopes?

Lively already out for the season. AD down now. Gafford is their only quality big man left. Dwight Powell as 3rd string will step up as their new backup center.

Still no Kyrie Irving. They were talking about him returning for Thanksgiving around the start of the season. Then they had that bad start. Is he not ready or are they deliberately holding him out so they can get a better draft pick?

Dallas have 15 wins 25 losses. Memphis in 10th place for the final play-in spot with 17 wins 22 losses. So Dallas are on the outside looking in but not out by much. A return to action from Kyrie could spur a run to the play-in spot. Even without AD or Lively.

Good year for them to tank and bottom out.  After this year, I don't believe they have control over their own 1st round pick until 2031.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yes - these games are great and I hope they end up battling each other in the WCF. OKC is 33-7.

Infuriating watching the leeway SGA gets with the officials. Gets all these soft calls from his embellishment of contact, all while being the biggest off arm offensive foul offender in the league while getting away with it.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

😂 and that?s why OKC?s whistle is so criticized. Wemby literally twists his ankle on the defender?s foot, but somehow it?s not a reckless close out flagrant - amazing incompetence by these officials. You literally can flip a coin and get more consistent calls on the reckless close out call than NBA officials.
