Anthony Davis literally leaves every game with some injury lol

Not sure if he's as worse as Porzingis or much worse in terms of availability lol
Davis has played in more games and minutes per game this year.

I think so. In terms of bigs I only have Kareen, Wilt, Bill, and Shaq ahead of him. There are valid arguments for and against Joker vs Shaq and it's always hard and subjective comparing players from different eras because the rules, play styles and competition/strength of league are all different but while I think he's a better all round player than Shaq, Shaq has four rings and at his prime was unstoppable. Jokic has many more tools in his toolkit to try and beat you than Shaq, but the one or two tools Shaq had were almost impossible to counter. I know Hakeem won one more ring than Jokic has but I'm putting Jokic ahead of him, and Hakeem is my personal fave center ever  :police:

Hakeem is better than Shaq.  Im not sure they've are really that close.

I still have Jokic behind Moses.  Different type of player, but Moses always seems to be forgotten in the all time lists. Of course I have Moses in the 13-15 range all time so I'd probably have Jokic in the back end of the top 20.

For the last 5 seasons, including 2025-26, Jokic has pretty much averaged a triple-double, while being the best player on a wining team.  He at times puts up Wilt'ian numbers in an era where you just don't see that.  I have Jokic right there with any Center ever, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Hakeem, whoever.

It is hard to define a clear #1 for players from such different eras.  Trying to compare Wilt or Russell to Jokic is just really hard.  But I don't think you could beat this top 5 team:

C   Jokic
PF  Russell
F    Bird
G   Jordan
PG Magic

(Yes, I have Russell as my PF, in the KG, Duncan mold of the PF).

You could argue for LeBron or Kareem or Kobe or Duncan to be on this list, and that would be fair.  But this would be my all time team.  Maybe the 2nd team is:

C    Kareem
PF   Duncan
F     Lebron
G    Kobe
PG  Robertson

And this team would not be all that far behind, if at all.  I think the biggest gap would be Magic over Robertson.

The Spurs actually match up really well against them and they have the youth to go toe-to-toe with OKC's group. I also think Wemby is a matchup problem for them when he's feeling it and even Kornet produces. Scary thing is, Wemby is still on a minutes restriction yet the Spurs are clicking.

Denver with Jokic also took OKC to 7 games last year. It feels like a superstar big man could be OKC's kryptonite when it matters. I think if Denver is fully healthy come playoffs, they could also give OKC some fits along with SAS.

Reddick says postgame "he won't deal with this for another 53 games" and he sounds ticked.

The reality is, that team has lost its flow since Lebron returned and frankly Lebron hasn't looked that great either particularly on the defensive end. I wonder if LAL decides to make some trades at the deadline, maybe even dangling Reaves or Lebron to accomplish it. They had an easy schedule to start the year but have played a tougher one lately and are 4-6 in their last 10.

I wonder if LAL decides to make some trades at the deadline, maybe even dangling Reaves or Lebron to accomplish it. They had an easy schedule to start the year but have played a tougher one lately and are 4-6 in their last 10.

I was reading some interesting stats on LAL:

On-Off Numbers for LeBron

Numbers per 100 possessions

On = OFF 120.8 DEF 125.4 Net -4.5pts
Off = OFF 119.8 DEF 116.2 Net +3.6pts

A differential of -8.1pts per 100 possession when LeBron is on the court vs off the court. Almost all that on the defensive end.

More on LeBron's LAL Defense

Quote
Lakers before LeBron's return:
Record: 10-4
Defensive rating: 113.7 (would rank 12th today)

Lakers since LeBron's return:
Record: 9-6
Defensive rating: 122.2 (would rank 29th today)

So LAL went from a solid defensive team to worst in the league levels following LeBron's return.

Luka + Reaves vs Big 3 all together

Quote
Luka and Reaves on the court without LeBron have a net rating of +19.6 in 266 minutes.

All 3 on the court changes to -7.1 in 126 minutes lol.

Makes a case for LeBron moving to the bench. They had good chemistry with Reaves & Luka. Not so with all 3 on the floor.

Maybe they should swap Smart and Rui in the starting lineup.  Push Lebron to the 4 and add a defensive oriented guard.

Indiana Pacers: We have signed center Micah Potter. In subsequent moves, we have waived guard Garrison Mathews and released center James Wiseman.
