Porzingis has missed 7 of his last 8 games and will now miss 2+ more weeks. It sounds like that illness is back (POTS)

I feel bad for KP. Is it perhaps time to hang it up?

No.  He is only 30.  POTS is no fun, but it often gets better over time, and he has been dealing with it for less than a year.  It will be something that always needs management, but I would bet next season his flare-ups are fewer and farther between.  That said, I would not give him more than the MLE when he reaches free agency this summer.

Why would he hang it up over an illness?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yeah, that would be crazy.

His illness would be extremely frustrating, but I believe it is eventually manageable. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) needs a resting schedule.

The issue for Porzingis & his team going forward is not being able to rely on him as a starting centre. Because of this, his illness is going to cost Porzingis a considerable amount of money on his next contract.

Dan Weiss: Victor Wembanyama posted an incredible individual net rating difference of +74.9 Saturday . The Spurs had a net rating of +43.8 when Victor was on the court and -31.1 when he was off in his 21 minutes. #danalytics

Knicks fans are going to be even more insufferable after this NBA Cup win. Better hang that cup banner since they can?t get the real thing!

LOL. I?m actually glad the Knicks won this meaningless tournament. Hope the loss keeps the Spurs hungry so they can give OKC a run for their money out West.

Kevin O'Connor said the Knicks are clearly the best team in the East.

Agree or disagree?

Disagree. They very well might be the best, but "clearly" is just not the case with how Detroit has played this season.

NYK: 2nd Offense, 12th Defense, 3rd Net
DET: 8th offense, 2nd Defense, 5th Net

Like, its definitely close. Although certainly the Knicks guys have a long track record than their Detroit counterparts. I'd probably lean NYK in a playoff series right now just because they have a higher offensive upside and in today's game I think that wins out.
