Giannis' numbers after 3 games

36ppg 16rpg 7apg 68% FG

He is going to put up freakish numbers this year. He doesn't have to share the ball with anyone. Everything revolves around him. EVERYTHING!

Its going to be terrifying when Milwaukee trades him to SAS for a boatload of draft picks.
They built a team around his skill set.  Been awhile since they did that.  Great shooters at the guard spots and an athletic 3 and D center next to him.  They probably need an all star level player next to be among the favorites, but this team is much closer to the team that won the title before Middleton got hurt and Lopez got old than what they've had since. They are scary.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Wiseman would be an upgrade for us, as disappointing as he's been.

Orlando drop 3 straight after winning their season opener.

I think they have the talent to be a 50 win team but bad signs thus far. Look more like a 44-47 win team.

Funny enough IF the C's hold on, they'll both have the same record at 1-3  :P

They are a fine enough team that will probably win in the high 40's since Giannis is really good. They have fundamentally no shot at competing and no real way to get there with no tradeable assets. Eventually Giannis is getting traded.

The Bulls an Sixers are both 3-0, and the Hawks and Magic are 1-3, just as everyone predicted.

Its early in the season, weird stuff happens.

James Wiseman is being waived by the Pacers. Could he be a celtics reclamation project?

Any young player that is large is worth looking into I suppose, and maybe there?s still some talent there as bigs tend to take a while to develop and his growth has been stunted by knee and an Achilles tear, but I just can?t imagine he turns into a player

I thought about it too. The question is, can we do what the Dubs, Piston, and Pacers couldn't?

If you look at his stats, his trajectory - both his production and his actual games played - have trended downwards, due to injury and other issues.

I think the questions would be:

a) Would he be better than who we have now? Both right now and more importantly in the future, in our next championship iteration?
b) Will his health allow him to be the best version of himself?
c) is his attitude and mindset what we are looking for in our team?

Keep in context we are $4m above the first apron, $7m below the 2nd apron, and $12m over the luxury tax this year.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
