Talking early about injury-prone Hawks players, tonight they are without (1) Porzingis (2) Risacher (3) Jalen Johnson.

Their bench is now made up of 3rd stringers & Luke Kennard. One 3rd stringer (M Gueye) is starting for them.

Porzingis misses more games with respiratory infections than anyone else in the league it seems.  I guess his legs aren't his only fragile body part.  Or maybe some of the illnesses are made up to conceal lower body soreness.

If Porzingis isn't gonna be available often for ATL then ATL is probably going to stay in the 9-10 play-in bracket with Chicago again lol (as is typical). Their chances at a higher seed (higher than 7) rest on Porzingis being a consistent factor

KP has averaged about 50 games per season in his career.

If this illness is going to again linger then it may be less than 50 this year (also factoring in possible actual muscle/bone/tissue injuries)

We lost a lot of talent and our frontcourt is trash but I will say, although I loved KP he just wasn't reliable for us. Even 2024 we played 75% of the postseason without him in the run. Guy just isn't reliable one way or another. Now I still wish we had kept 1 or both of Horford/Kornet for sure.

I know the trade was primarily for salary reasons but it's possible teams were really not interested at him at all for that reason. Atlanta though took advantage because they needed to change something up and try to add a #2 next to Trae at least.

Wemby put up 31pts, 14rebs, 6blks, 4ast, 3stls. Not too shabby. Also, Spurs won.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Austin Reeves had 51pts, 11rebs, 9 ast in 39 minutes of play. He shot 50%+ from the field 60% from 3pt and made 21/22 FT?s. I didn?t think he was capable of going off like that..

Giannis' numbers after 3 games

36ppg 16rpg 7apg 68% FG

He is going to put up freakish numbers this year. He doesn't have to share the ball with anyone. Everything revolves around him. EVERYTHING!

Its going to be terrifying when Milwaukee trades him to SAS for a boatload of draft picks.

Glad that will be the West's problem to deal with esp against OKC, Lakers and young rising Dallas. Just keep him away from LAL so he doesn't team up with Doncic.
