Scheierman's most interesting ability is his court vision.  So somebody is going have to explain to me why he's launching everything he touches.  A lot of these guys are playing together and sharing the rock but he's standing out as an exception.

Boucher's shots aren't falling this game but he's had a solid showing.  Good energy from our team, preseason game or not.
Fully agree. Boucher, Garza and Minott brought a lot of energy. I like the new style, refreshing to see the athletic play.

We're way less talented than last year obviously, and don't have Tatum or a real center

But the pace will definitely be a lot faster with the young guys. Truth be told, Porzingis was hurt too much and Jrue + Horford were aging and Jrue in particular looked extra slow last year.

Next year if they get back Tatum and add a good 4th option (an ACTUAL center) they'll go back to contending. Hopefully with a few young guys like Hugo, etc. also taking a step and contributing off the bench.

Getting increasingly irritated with Scheierman.  He's the only dude on the entire roster playing selfish tonight.  Didn't like his body language after Minott fumbled the steal a few possessions back either.

Baylor is really bad. Just a chucker. Impressed with Hugo.. I like his effort defensively, just needs to learn how to shoot.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Shulga might be uglier than Walsh.

Good first impression.  Hope the team continues to play with this pace.  The roster is flawed and they may not be great but they'll be fun.

Enjoyed the game and didn't expect Garza to be this good.

I know it?s the nature of the beast, but I really hate him taking threes.  I always liked him with Toronto, but felt like he hurt them with his 3?s.  He?s so streaky.

Fun game for the most part.  Looking forward to seeing the rest of the guys get some run.  The pace should suit Simons and Pritchard well.

I would not be sad if we decided not to pick up his year 3 option in a couple of weeks.  Otherwise I foresee us sending out a second to move his guaranteed deal next summer.

I liked Garza quite a bit. Looks like he can score inside, which will help. Not a bad effort overall but they weren't exactly playing the Cavs - or for that matter the Grizzlies.

What I saw tonight was a repeat of his Summer league performances. When they try to use him as a playmaker - basically in the Tatum role - he starts clanking shots left and right. Tatum he isn't. But when he's shooting 3 for 12 or whatever he did, he doesn't even belong on the court.

Garza's highlight reel from Minny makes him look like an All-Star.

He's always been buried behind guys since his rookie year though.
