Ohio state looks like a team that hasn?t played a meaningful game in months

I caught the game while on vacation here in Hing Kong and I agree, they kind of reminded me of the women?s volleyball regional final between Nebraska and Texas A&M thst I watched with my niece the other week, Nebraska had gone undefeated, thrashing all this lesser opposition then they came up against an opponent that put them under pressure and they couldn?t deal with it. Ohio State looked the same.

Texas Tech/Oregon a bit of a rock fight so far.

Ducks looking like the better team but just can?t bust this open yet.

Except they basically had a must-win game against Michigan and then the Big Ten championship against Indiana in their last 2 games.  The Indiana game was obviously more telling of the problems they had on offense.  They just looked flat and not dynamic.  They clearly missed the 2 great now in the NFL running backs they had.  They just couldn't find the balance early and that put a lot of pressure on the still relatively young QB, and he obviously made a crucial mistake.  Smith and Tate are great, but the Buckeyes clearly need to be able to run the ball.  Also, Day is not a very good play caller.  His offenses are very predictable and great defenses can exploit them, which Miami was able to do.

If Oregon hangs on, teams on bye will be 0-6 with 2 games to go.  Perhaps the bye is much more of an issue than one would expect and that may be a reason to go to 16

Pretty impressive first half from the Hoosiers.

The bye curse might be on the ropes.

That was total butt kicking. Don?t see that happen to Bama very often.

Yes and no.  Is losing to the #1 team in the country terrible?  The SEC had 5 of the top 9 ranked teams.  Those teams losing to better teams isn't all that bad of a result.

That was one hell of an Ole Miss / Georgia game.

the SEC has 3 post season wins.  And in 2 of those wins, it was games in which 2 SEC teams played and in those games, and the lower ranked team won.  Texas beating Michigan is the only other win. It is a terrible post season.

Teams on bye 1-7 in the 2 years.  Indiana only win.  The bye is seemingly hurting the better teams.  Think you will hear a decent push to go to 16 teams because of it.  Maybe elimintate the conference championships to balance that out.

Do people really care about non-playoff bowls?

In the current era, it's all about the playoff.  Having 5 out of the 12 teams in the playoff is more impressive than winning the Wasabi Bowl.

I don't think many people expected Bama to actually win the Rose Bowl so dancing on that particular grave seems a bit odd.
