The site was being obnoxious which is probably why nobody posted about MNF but the Patriots totally owned the Giants - in the first half anyway. 30-7. Giants won the 2nd half 8-3 but who cares   :police:

Funniest moment of the night - maybe the whole season - was Younghoe Kim going all Charlie Brown on the ball, when holder Jamie Gillan wasn't even doing a Lucy to him. Even funnier than Younghoe turning into a hack golfer was Jaxson Dart's reaction

I thought it was a fake FG, but then it became even funnier when the holder suddenly looked very confused and panicked as he was getting smothered by Patriots defenders

Great night. Pats are back baby! Maye + Vrabel leading the next dynasty. Idk if they'll make a run this January but the pieces are there for long term contention again and it starts with the coach and QB duo. They are taking care of business against these teams and showing up on primetime too, like the Brady days (and not the recent years with Mac Jones/Zappe/Brissett and HC Mayo... oof)

Absolute beatdown over the Giants. Love it when the Pats give 'em the belt.

Its really unbelievable. I don't think there is anyone who had (or even has) expectations of a SB appearance this year.  In fact I'd say anything outside of a blowout loss in the first round of the playoffs should feel like this was a great season and a building block for years to come.  It's hard to believe that the Pats appear to have a franchise QB in the making.  The hiatus between Tom leaving and Maye's arrival was 5 years - which is the blink of an eye despite all the negativity surrounding coaches BB, Matt Patricia, Jerrod, etc..  and QBs - from Cam to Mac to Zappe to Brissett...   When you consider how long other franchises have waited (are still waiting) for a legit franchise QB - the Pats are ridiculously fortunate.

We could never have predicted what would happen in the Brady era (never will be duplicated) but there's a very different feel to the start of Maye's tenure - a feeling that there is an expectation of multiple SB appearances.  Whereas Brady exceeded career expectations by Year 2, Maye will probably be seen as a disappointment if the Pats don't see a SB by 2027.

History repeating itself? Rams/Patriots Superbowl, that started the 20-year dynasty? Maybe we'll get a Rams/Pats Superbowl rematch, with the Pats winning it all and igniting another 20 year dynasty  8)

I know 2021 is seen as a cautionary tale by some but I'll be honest, while it was a fun season they were winning a lot with defense and also just managing the game. Mac always felt iffy to me and Maye just has so much ability and skill than Jones.

Maye can win you games all by himself, Mac simply couldn't. Still think they screwed Mac Jones with the Patricia-Judge fiasco and overall lack of talent on the roster, but ultimately Mac just wasn't a franchise QB.

In this league, you need a QB who can elevate you and the team including in crucial moments. Jalen Hurts gets criticized for relying on a talented roster and the tush push but even he's capable of doing that. Mahomes/Allen/Burrow/Lamar all are. Same with the likes of Stafford. I think Maye is as well.

The fun thing about this season is that no one had expectations.  I think most reasonable expectations had them around 7-9 win if things broke right.  Hell, we had people on here screaming tank a couple of weeks into the season.  But no one, in their right mind, could've seen this team as a potential #1 seed in the AFC with a honest shot at HFA in the playoffs.

The ride can be a lot more fun when a team with zero expectations all of sudden is exceeding all expectations. The Brady era was an absolutely blast to live thru but it became "Super Bowl or bust" every season.  This isn't like that.

There's also excitement in the fact that the knowledge that this team's rebuild is ahead of schedule.  I would imagine most people had eyes on 2026/2027 and not 2025.  In that aspect, it's similar to how 2001 unfolded.  That team was also ahead of schedule.  I don't know what this team's ceiling at this point and not saying it'll be a repeat of 2001, but it's an exciting time to be a Pats fan and this season has been really fun to watch.  Especially Maye.

Another game where I saw it more as NYG losing the game over NE winning the game.  But that seems to be how it works.  This NYG team was able to beat PHI, how does that happen?  And then look this bad vs. the Pats?

I thought the Pats OL held up pretty well considering the injuries.  3 sacks, although at least one of them was more of a busted play that got counted as a sack.  119 yards rushing on 29 carries, that is fine.  So the OL held their own.  The defense wasn't perfect, but solid, as it has been pretty much all season.  And no turnovers of course.

I have no idea where this goes from here.  I would be no more surprised to see the Pats win out than to see them lose 2 or 3 games.  Vrabel has them totally in the one game at at time mind-set, they are not letting themselves get all caught up in things.  I wonder how playoff pressure will affect this.  Can they keep that mind-set.

I don't know what game you were watching.  Especially the first half.
