Because of the contract extension, Garrett basically cannot be traded. Dead money cap hit is like 97 million. 
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Wow, that is a lot.  I thought last season his coverage was spotty at times.  He has been solid season.  Maybe he operates better in a more complete defense.  Hope he keeps it up and plays to this contract.

Interesting. Probably expected though, both guys were kind of on the outside and just weren't living up to their potentials.

I do hope the Pats get aggressive in the trade market. Doesn't have to be superstar additions but ideally 2 players for the defense (one safety, one linebacker OR pass rusher) and 1 depth RB would be ideal. I don't think it'd cost a ton either, I mean we're not trying to trade for Myles Garrett or anyone like that.
