I don't get how these teams continue to get these uniforms wrong.

Are we the Colts now?
Yup

I keep telling people: It's Nike. They absolutely suck at uniform design. The Pats are now the Colts (after previously looking like the Texans), and the Sox are UCLA. What's next? The Celtics looking like the Lakers?

I don't know why people don't think the jerseys look like Indy (well, I do, but it wasn't my first though with them); we're clearly just trying to make Vrabel feel more comfortable by looking like the Titans!

Seriously, they don't look like Patriots jerseys at all, nor do they remind me of a Nor'easter. That would be white/grey not greyish blue.
I'm bitter.

Patriots are releasing veteran safety Jabrill Peppers, per source. Peppers still has $4.32 million guaranteed remaining on his contract for this season.

Peppers has started 85 games, including 26 with New England, and has totaled over 500 tackles, seven interceptions, six forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries in the NFL.

Doesn't appear to be much of a $$ savings.  Wonder if there was something else.  means, Dugger may have more of a role than any of us thought.

I think they cut Dugger too.

This is getting a bit weird. Are all these guys essentially demanding to be released and/or basically being put in a position where they end up released? And why is this happening after they announced the rosters? To me that's also kind of a sign that the roster has very thin depth so they had to name some guys. They had 8 WRs listed in their initial roster then immediately released Baker and Bourne.

And while I still love the defense, Gonzalez is still hurt and may be questionable for Week 1, and ultimately I think this defense can get run on again. Especially if, god forbid, a guy like Spillane gets hurt because he's one of our only linebackers who is strong against the run. The pass rush and front 7 is still strong but I worry about run defense. Peppers helped with that too. The depth is now thinner there.

Very strange to cut Peppers at this point.  If they were going to cut him, they should have cut him a while ago so that they could have someone to keep in his place.  Things can change quickly for football players (the decline can be quick) but I was expecting both Peppers and Duggar to be very good players.  To me, Duggar looked like his old self at the end of last season.

Releasing Bourne made sense.  This one doesn't.  And if they cut Duggar too, it will make even less sense.  I am sure that the narrative will be "they don't fit the new system" or something like that.  There has to be more to this.

Apparently, all 6 captains from last year are now no longer on the team.

Vrabel is definitely cleaning house.

I agree that "cleaning house" part of the motivation, or sure seems to be.  But why wait until now to do it?  Maybe there is some cap/dead cap thing so waiting was advantageous.  It just makes no sense to me.

With the recent cuts it looks like they may not be a 9-win team after all. Probably less than that. Seems thin on depth and OL still looks shaky.

Vrabel sure better have some plans on his drawing board and not another pencil guy figure like Matt Patricia.

I agree.  I still see the defense as solid, probably above average, even without Peppers, but that assumes that Gonzalez is healthy all or most of the season.

And I am really concerned about the OL.  Can't run the ball or pass the ball if the line isn't at least decent, and I am not so sure this OL will be that.  3 rookies and Wallace who only played 6 games last season (so pretty much a rookie), all projected to be in the mix.  Even if all of them turn out to be good eventually, rookies tend to take their lumps, meaning Maye will take his lumps too.
