Like Sparz and Goldstar88 have said, I at least feel very confident knowing that this regime and coaching staff as a whole probably seems well-equipped to get things on the right track and to try and instill good habits, sometimes through tough love.
That was absolutely not the case last year and even the last two years of Belichick when he also had Patricia-Judge trying to run the offense (lol). Plus Belichick apparently had been involved with his current GF since dating back to 2021, so he was probably checked out anyways (which is ironic for a guy who always preached strict habits and "ignoring the noise", okay Bill...
)
I agree. I really like Vrabel?s approach. He?s an ideal teacher for motivated learners. He?s knowledgeable, experienced, is tough when he needs to be, is flexible when it?s beneficial to be, prioritizes building connections with players and coaches. I think he?s a person players will want to play for.
It also will help a ton if he has a great quarterback. That remains to be seen. But it?s possible. I think if this team is at .500 after 8 games I think the culture of winning (or competitive in every game) will take hold and we?ll be on our way to an era of good football again in New England.
