At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I was shocked they were able to get him, and I think he could make a big impact, even in his rookie year.

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

I agree.....or are the Commanders awful?

Its preseason. The Commanders are a 10 or 11 win team that swung up last year. I genuinely think we stepped way up from dregs to high middle this year

48-18 win in Foxboro is a score that I haven't seen much since the Brady days.

A meaningless win is better than a meaningless loss. Team has a good feel to it.  Looking forward to the season and being in the hunt for a playoff spot.

I?m a big fan of Rhamandre but I wonder what trade value he has.  Henderson and Gibson look like the top two.

Whenever I get excited about the preseason I like to remind myself the 2008 Lions were 4-0 in the preseason.  They didn't win a single regular season games that year and finished 0-16.  And if that doesn't work, I then think of the 2017 Browns, also 4-0 in preseason and also finished 0-16 after finishing the prior year 1-15.

The results of the games mean literally nothing. What matters is how fringe or rookie players look.  That tells a lot about who is making the team and if so the role they may have.

I do like the Pats this year. Think they have an outside shot at a wildcard though would feel better about that if they were in the NFC or AFC South where'd they face more weaker teams.  I'd be very surprised if they were an actual challenge to the Bills in the East.  Think it's still pretty clearly Buffalo's division.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Haha yeah I know.

I think with the step up in coaching and influx of talent, the Pats are a 7-10 win team.

Henderson might be lightning in a bottle. Its exciting.

Also Campbell is a dog. Other than the messed up pull play between him and Wilson that led to the fumble, he was awesome. If that attitude is his normal, I get why the coaching staff fell in love haha

Thanks for the Campbell observation. Talking heads still question whether he?s ultimately a tackle or guard.  Early thoughts?

Henderson looked great - catching the ball as well. Better to wipe the floor with the 2nd stringers than to have struggled.  Would like to have seen Maye connect on a couple more throws, but that will happen soon enough.

I like what I?ve heard from coaches and players as well. I just want to see how he does against starters. He?s struggled at camp against athletic DE/LB.

Campbell's athleticism is easy to spot just casually watching the game. The only negative in his reps was the aforementioned pull play. It wasn't due to length, but miscommunication between he and our other starting rookie LG (Wilson is gonna be awesome.)
There was an action where they used Campbell in motion to block a LB at the second level, and they sprang a long run. I think there was a flag unrelated to Campbell, but he blocked the defender for like 5-7 seconds and literally went through the whistle. My eyes popped open on the play. It was sick

Overall, he's going to be a 21 year old the vast majority of the year. I'd imagine we see more mental lapses (due to experience. All indications are he is a savant at learning the position.) that impact plays than arm length concerns. I get nervous about the arm things too, but if his arms were even 1/4 of an inch longer, we are talking about a perfect tackle prospect with a hunger to be good that checks every intangible box.

Wilson looked like he got a great push each snap, wish Pats had a better LG so he could play Center.

Stevenson looks like he has some burst back. Glad about it.

A good RB attack with an OL that pushes and pulls is the traditional way you support a young QB. Hope they can do the same against better competition.

Maye doesn't look right just yet but it's a newer offense and a a lot new players.
