How do people want to handle the playin?

We have some surprising teams in the playin. We can play a one game series like the NBA does, or do best of 3 or best of 7.

I?ve got a plan for everything but would like to get some input on this. Looking for direction. A one game playoff is very likely a win for the home team but would seem to increase the chances of an upset. A 7 game series would seem to reinforce the higher seed advancing. I would consider 3 games, but maybe 1 game is best.

What do you guys think?

I'd say go with one game to inject at least a minor amount of randomness into it.

Are teams going to adjust lineups / minutes between each round?

Yes, after tomorrow?s final regular season announcements I will take minutes and lineup tweaks for the playoffs. It is the same rules for MPG, and I advise you max out your studs

To those sim teams in the lower tier, consider adding minutes to more efficient guys. But you can also play studs like KG and TD big minutes compared to SGA and Curry, but it looks like a good idea to surround them with more efficient guys.

I am fine with doing 1 game. If people have thoughts let me know

So playoff matchups are:

Playin:

Who vs Dons
CFF vs Snively

Main Draw:

SAB vs Playin team 2
Roy vs Playin team 1
Moranis vs Jvalin
Timdawgg vs RodyTur

I?ll take minutes adjustments between now and Monday, with the same MPG cap.

The champ of the people and of the sim, and the guy that put this whole thing together. Well done, SAB! Dominant performance in the sim too.

Thanks CFF! I?m a bit disappointed in the sim. I don?t like how much it is punishing great teams with slightly older players. It should be adjusted for era, like Who said. I was hoping it would extend the fun and life of each draft, but for this one, IDK.

I like that other good teams are getting a chance to shine, but don?t love that my top 2 teams in my voting finished outside the top 6 in sim. Makes me want to build my own sim adjust for era and taxing the popular most used guys, and some other tweaks

Yep, great team.  I'm skeptical of the sim results; I don't think the Dream Team would win 80% of its games in this league, and the idea of Dons or your team going 5-22 on the road is absurd.  But, I'm skeptical of the voting results, too.  The only universally appreciated team was SAB's, which says a lot about his team.

I like the idea of simming the regular season for seeding and then doing mini-debates for each playoff series.  For future drafts.

55-9 in this kind of league seems pretty absurd.  That sim is wacky as heck.
