I'd like to open up voting on Thursday unless you guys think it's too soon. If you want to put effort into more writing, advocating and discourse before voting, that is fine by me. If we want to vote and move onto the sim which should allow for plenty of discourse, then I suggest we open up voting on Thursday and if we get votes in quickly, I can announce on Friday. If it takes more time I can announce on Monday or early next week. What do you guys think?
Was under the impression we'd first simulate the regular season and then run play-ins and playoffs (=vote on specific matchups) based on the sim results.

If voting opens on Thursday, I'm opting for Sheed over BroLo and I'm using my starters way more minutes. No way Jokic plays only 28 minutes. Only reason I reduced his playing time was the sim algorithm. I also assumed the 9-man rotation was a prerequisite for the simulator, hence applied only for the regular season. Was planning to have an 8-man rotation in the playoffs.

PG: Damian Lillard (36) / Derrick White (12)
SG: Jalen Williams (18) / Anthony Edwards (30)
SF: Paul George (36) / Jalen Williams (12)
PF: Jayson Tatum (36) / Rasheed Wallace (12)
C: Nikola Jokic (36) / Rasheed Wallace (12)

Sim for seeding and then war of words for playoff match ups  sounds fun.  As long as Roy and MO end up facing off.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Works the other way around as well. Vote for seeding and then sim the play-ins and the playoffs.

I'm on board with whatever SAB wants. Just wanna make sure we're all on the same page in order to finalize our rotations. Most people are using their stars for limited minutes assuming we are building a team for the simulator.

I'm on board with whatever SAB has in mind.  Like a few others, my minutes are based on the "total minutes played divided by 82 games" standard.

I also based my rotation on the "total minutes played divided by 82 games" standard.
Also the rotation was for the regular season simulation as I could maximize minutes for playoff-matchups.

I think SAB should do what he likes best, but it is a bit confusing.
I think voting for the best team and then use that as a seeding for simulation playoffs is an interesting idea though.

Hey guys, I'll chime in more later.

Minutes are strictly for the sim. Minutes should not be considered for voting. Just the overall rosters and depth charts with the understanding that a 2nd string guy could easily switch to a 3rd string guy depending on matchups. Voting we would do after write ups, before the sim.

Why my team beats this other team would be a fun exercise... I'm ready to embrace total intellectual dishonesty in defense of my squad.
