I debated this pick internally for awhile, and almost went the other way, but at the end of the day being from Ohio and having the Cavs, I felt like the only acceptable selection is the best available player all time, Lebron James.  LeBron also happens to have the highest value season and 4 of the top 8 value seasons at Whatif which helps solidify the choice to take him at 1.  I know we don't have to pick a season, and while I may ultimately go a different route as of now I'm going with 12-13. That year, he was MVP, 2nd in DPOY, Finals MVP, shot over 40% from 3, with 19.3 WinShares, BPM of 11.7, VORP of 9.9, and an of/off differential per 100 of 15.3.  Not his most statistically dominant season, but I believe that was his best season and as he was on a mission to go back to back. When he needed to, he took over and was unstoppable on both ends of the floor, but he also played within the game (which is why it isn?t his most statistically dominant season), which is what you also need in this sort of exercise.

So with the 1st pick, the Cleveland Cavaliers select Lebron James.

I debated picking another guy here assuming LeBron was going to be off the board.. but felt Timmy was the easiest to build around and also probably my favorite non-Celtic of all time.
