Georges Niang: "I then get traded for Kristaps Porziņģis?which, you know how tough Boston fans are. They don?t give a [ __ ] if I?m from Boston or not. They're like, 'You just took our unicorn and replaced it with a minivan.' They're like, 'Get the [ __ ] out of here!' You know what I?m saying? Like, they want superstars." "Oh, so they treat y?all the same way. You?re like public enemy number one.
Georges Niang: "They?re like, 'What the?what is this? This ain't shiny, man. This got scratches on it!' So now, I?m kind of in the mode of like, 'Okay, obviously JT is out.' But Boston has done a really good job?if you?ve looked at it?when guys miss games. It?s their culture. It?s who they are. So it?s like, 'Okay George, now what can you do to maximize what you have to help them win games?' 'Cause you don?t want to be in Boston losing. That?s for sure. The expectations stand?they expect to win."
Georges Niang: You know, there are going to be bad days, there are going to be great days. But just show up. Show up and don?t let an excuse make you quit. Everybody has an excuse?'Oh, why this couldn?t go the right way.' Just show up with a competitive nature and grind every single day. I know it sounds clich?, but if you just keep your head forward, by the time you?re like, '[dang], I?m tired,' you?ll look back and 10 years will have passed you by. So just continue to grow, keep going, and show up every day. Don?t quit. That?s the biggest thing?because once you quit once, you realize how easy it becomes... and you?ll quit again."
That all sounds good. But is he going to be out of shape and not really try on defense? That's what will matter.
He has good size, there's no reason for him to be as bad on defense as he has been. If he shows up in shape, can make 3's and tries hard on defense, I'll like him.
