That's actually not bad at all for Houston unless you were super duper high on Jalen Green's ceiling. 5 second round picks but only one first rounder given up. Houston gets a lot better with a legit scoring option, and KD doesn't have to be a #1 or even a #2 there most nights.

Good deal for Suns getting both 10 and Green
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Yeah it's good for both teams. It's also possible Phoenix reroutes Green somewhere else for additional assets

Suns caved. That offer was out there for awhile and they didn?t like it but Rockets wouldn?t budge, unless the 5 seconds really swayed them lol.

Now I wonder if the C's make a trade or two today/tomorrow. Draft is Wednesday, very soon

I just hope, any trade we make, make us better not worse. I don t won't us dumping the players for nothing in return.

It's reasonable value for both teams.

Green-Beal-Booker is a nightmare fit together, so I expect another move is coming for them

That #10 better hit like Paul Pierce did, lol.

I don't like the deal for the Suns.  I acknowledge that Durant is an aging malcontent making $50M next year, and therefore this is probably the best they could have done.  Doesn't mean I have to like it.  I don't believe in Jalen Green as a building block, so you're basically banking on that #10 to give them any worthwhile future value.  Maybe others are higher on Green.  I don't know.

Trading Green for a 37 year old is huge gamble for Houston?Phoenix getting a 10th pick and have Booker & Green to build around
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I think Durant can still compete. This'll keep Houston as a top 3 team in the West, at lest on paper.

1. OKC
2. Dallas
3. Houston

Durant is a 37yr old player on an expiring contract.  I think the suns did better then expected based on age, length of contract and the fact that everyone knew he wanted out and the Suns are in cap hell.  Green is a good asset.  He's young and if he can become more consistent he's a really good player.  I think this is a win all around.

Now with this being said.  Trades are going to be the way that most teams improve this year.  If the C's are to make a deal I expect Hauser to be the one to go before the draft.  Teams can take him in the MLE and that opens up a lot.  Hauser and 28 to move up in the teens is something I'd like to see.

I will say that it's tempting to see what White or JB could bring back.  If Durant, Bane etc are getting these types of deals then these two should bring in a generational type haul.  If your going to do it this is the year.  No cap space for teams to improve outside of a few teams or trades.  The C's have a ton of really good trade chips.  The only deal that would excite me as a fan, which will not happen, is to get the #1 or #2 pick.  With Durant off the board the next domino is what happens to Giannis.  If he's not being traded then JB or Dwhite are the next best players to go after.

with Stevens, i believe your wish will be granted. so far, Stevens seems to be quite good at trades and such.

Rockets still won?t be good enough. I also don?t think Udoka and Durant will get along. Ime will call Durant out for a missed assignment defensively or bad play on offense and that will be all she wrote.
