$25 million per season seems fair enough.  I never thought his $30 million ask was realistic.

If he plays like he did post trade deadline, he?s worth $30M/year. Great deal for Chicago. Josh is only 22 years old. A lot of upside.

Giddey's performances went to a higher level after the All-Star Break and the trade of All-Star guard Zach LaVine. The 6-foot-8 product shined as a leader of the Bulls, averaging 21.2 points, 10.7 rebounds and 9.3 assists on 50% shooting, including 46% on 3-pointers.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Giddey is one of the more fun players in the league. I love his passing. I hope he continues on like he did in the 2nd half of last season.

Sure.  But, his NBA career hasn't been like that to date.  Will that 18 game sample size provide an accurate assessment of his level of play, or is he closer to the 14 / 8 / 6 / .505 eFG% guy he's been the rest of his career?

There's risk for both sides, which makes it a fair deal.

Not sure if his shooting will be that good, but I expect Giddey to average 20/8/8 next year. His defense needs to get better, but overall he?s really talented. He won?t even hit his prime for another 4 years. Presti took him 6th overall for a reason.

Presti took him at #6.  He also traded him for a good role player that is 30 years old and that averaged 7/3/3 last year.

I didn?t like that trade. Caruso is a nice role player, but they should have gotten more just based on Giddeys upside, IMO. Rare blunder by Presti.
