A Blazers podcast on Ayton during last season

Fascinating watch. Apparently "Ayton is the guy you want on your team if you're looking to tank."
They also call him an "innings-eater at best" with a toxic attitude. And Apparently their defensive rating was 29th with him on the court, but 4th with their other center.
I would be most worried about a 'toxic attitude' doing harm, just keep him away from the C's...lol
I'm not an Ayton apologist. I don't like players that don't play hard and smart.
However, there is a path his career takes from here where he becomes a missing piece for some team. There may be a 25% chance that happens, and a 75% chance his career takes a quick downward turn ala Andrew Bynum or Michael Beasley.
He's probably not a Stevens type of player, but you could argue that the Blazers have been pretty dysfunctional for 3-4 years now. He's not a culture changer, but a culture follower.
The story about him in Phoenix was that Paul was always on him to get the best out of him. Frankly, they did and he was a half-step below dominate on both sides of the court in their championship-losing run.
