One downside is that JB has historically worked on something to improve his game in the off-season.
Hope he can get in the water soon.

Sounds to me like he just needs to lay low and rest this off-season, other than prescribed physical therapy.
Brown and Tatum have over-done their off-season basketball and physical training in the past.
Some work is necessary to be a champion, but along with too many regular season minutes and several extended playoff runs, their year-round physical activity has to have been a factor in their wear-and-tear injuries.

Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Yeah personally I think rest would benefit a lot of these guys. Some of them also played on the Olympics Team last year. I thought the issues with JB in the second half and playoffs were mostly just him laboring and fighting through the injury.

I agree with this.  I feel this is what really affected the teams play this year.  So much basketball.  Hopefully the players can get the rest and recovery they need and surprise teams next year.  The Celtics will be written off and that's when they play their best.

Next year is an 'even' year and we tend to overachieve in those years (and underachieve in odd years). We don't quite know what overachieving means since our roster is likely to be much different, but I'm definitely not saying that I think we'll be winning a championship.

So ..................................... Guess I feel stupid asking, but who is that standing next to Jaylen in the hospital photo ? I doubt Brown stayed overnight. Unless the doctors were being extra cautious, the meniscus repair is a day surgery procedure.

ok, thanks. I thought he was maybe an ex-player or Celtic staffer most fans would recognize.
Was any detail given about what the surgeon found when he went inside Brown's knee, in other words, how much damage was there, how much of the meniscus is now still intact and healthy ?
