I hear he is a much better passer than Queta.

He's actually an amazing passer and can handle the rock for a big man.  He just can't shoot to save his life and wont contribute much offensively.

And he stinks on defense.

  • Everybody knows what's best for you
We can?t possibly take two late 2nd rounders, but I can?t imagine anybody?s going to trade a future 2nd for 57. I guess our best bet is cash considerations now. I?m sure we would all love that lol

but why even trade the pick (#32) if you are just going to get someone so bad they won't make the team anyways?
I mean you can do that with a higher pick too, at least make the pick at #32 and get a look at the decent player.

Yeah, the whole thing is perplexing. It would have been great if we could have traded up for Raynaud once he started falling, but now here we are.

I guess if we use those 2nds to dump Niang and we sell or waste 57, then I can live with that. Before the draft,  I probably would have used 32 to dump Niang. And this way we get a Center prospect Brad likes plus getting rid of Niang

So it is obvious this draft is pretty much a waste for roster construction next season. Don't see any of the guys they drafted on the opening night roster. Hugo stashed in Spain and the Williams sent to Maine.

Brad has a lot of work to make this a functional roster because as it stands...this cannot be the final product unless the only goal is to be a lottery team and to save money.

Other than the fact that Stevens has already said Hugo will be on the team next year ...

Yeah...he might but they have the option to send him back if he isn't ready or they need to save money.
Even if he does make the roster they aren't getting anything out of him. Just not ready.

Don't like the trade. 4 seconds for 1 second sound great on paper, but all seconds aren't' created equal. Depending on what the incoming picks are there's a pretty good chance that none of the 2nds you get will be higher than 46, and back half of the round seconds almost literally never turn into a useful player. I'd flat out rather just have the 32 pick. Flushing a legit pick down the toilet to get a little more ammo to dump guys is not appealing to me as a fan.

So both second round picks are on 2 way deals.

6'5 shooter that will learn how to defend. Probably a G league year for him and Williams

The Celtics select Max Shulga at No. 57 overall.

Boston will add Shulga on a two-way.

Max Shulga could be Baylors replacement if they decide to salary dump him. Very similar size/skill set and will cost a lot less.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Shulga sounds like the replacement for JD Davison in Maine.

I thought Baylor was Hauser's replacement when they decide to salary dump Sam.

So 4 of the bench spots are for sure going to be Davison, Peterson, Baylor and Walsh?

Uninspiring night, but what can you do.

Now time for Brad to make a couple moves in the next week so we can actually improve this team.

That?s true, but now they have someone to replace Baylor so they can salary dump both guys.
