If trades need to be made for tax purposes then the objective is to improve the value per dollar. We don't have specific other goals like balancing the roster, collecting future assets or use assets for big improvements. Considering these circumstances the last you thing you want to do is trade valuable players on very good contracts.
So I don't see any reason to trade Tatum (our best player), White, Hauser, Pritchard or Scheierman (and perhaps even Queta). We can't aggregate salaries for a big trade, so there's no advantage at all for giving any of these guys up. Very weird to see a couple of these names come back in trade proposals on this forum as it doesn't solve the situation and only will decrease the quality of the roster.
Whether some people like it or not, the logical candidates to put on the market are Brown, Holiday and Porzingis. Personally I'd try to trade all three, albeit for different secondary reasons.
