That is a much worse trade than the one I proposed, which was Brown for Sheppard, Brooks, Smith, Eason, 10, and 2 future 1st's. That makes way more sense for Boston and still makes sense for Houston, which would be VanVleet, Green, Brown, Thompson, Sengun with Landale, Holiday, Whitmore and the ability to bring back Adams, Tate, and old friend Jeff Green. That team easily beats the Warriors about probably beats the Wolves this year. They need a player like Brown. He'd be great being back in Udoka's systems as the leader and primary offensive option while surrounded by good passers
Smith and Eason are basically role players at this point. In the playoffs COMBINED, they played 39.3 mpg and produced just 15 ppg, 8.2 rpg, and 1.3 apg. They can't be the centerpiece of any trade for anyone good. They just aren't more than spot starters/quality bench players at this point. I get they are both young, but Smith is regressing and Eason has never been any good.
