We did this without Tatum and essentially without Porziņģis either. Can you imagine if Porziņģis comes back to life for the next game.

STILL (SOMEHOW) ALIVE!!!!!

ITS ALIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a feeling we might win this one, and possibly one more.

I've found often - especially in the playoffs - when teams are missing a key player a lot of the time other guys step up, the ball moves more, and teams can actually play better in the short term.

I think we saw an example of this last season when Haliburton was out for Indiana - I actually think they played better after he got injured.

I feel teams sometimes get too comfortable / lazy with the gameplan and just kinda start depending on their star guy to do everything while other guys stand around, and sometimes those key injuries can shake things up and help.

I dont have much confidence in Boston winning three straight and taking the series, but I can see us winning one more game and pushing it to 7 games.  I actually think our roster is deep enough that we match up pretty well with them even without Tatum.

i cannot deal with another game 7 heartbreak at home.

see 2018 ECF and 2023 ECF

if we win game 6 we have to win at home

I certainly hope so.

I think the team is more than capable of it, I just worry about this team's mentality.  I was happy last year because all season long the team seemed much more locked in and hungry - they had very few games where they played down to the competition and lost to crappy teams as they have a history of doing,

This season felt different right from the start, and I felt like I saw those old habits coming back...and the first 4 games of this series were proof of that.  I hate that Tatum is out, but I hope that (at the very least) the team and take something positive out of it and use it to re-motivate themselves to play hard and play the right way again like they did last year.  Maybe the "lets do it for JT" feeling will help keep them driven.

If hell freezes over and they somehow manage to win a title with JT out, then that would hopefully be a huge learning experience for the team and would hopefully shut up a lot of the Boston haters our there.

Great games from White and Brown. And Kornet was incredible. The Knicks will absolutely have a game plan to attack him the next game so lets please remember this and know that this is why he will get minutes and we have to ride with him because I imagine the Knicks will adjust and we will see some tougher minutes from him.

In the next game we are going to need Pritchard to score 20+ I feel to have a chance. And honestly likely over 25. We will need him to be hot I feel.

But the main thing is I am very proud this team played the way they did tonight. Really impressive to see and just loved it.

I have to say, I actually think there is more pressure on the Knicks then the Celtics now after this win.

With JT out everybody will expect the Knicks to win this series easily, and if they lose game 5 and game 6 it's going to make them look bad and put immense pressure on them for game 7 ... while the Celtics have no pressure because they are pretty much playing with house money right now.

Lots to like about this win. Didn?t lay down - fought hard, took the lead and kept it.  On to MSG.

Among my favorite stats for tonight is Al Horford playing under 25 minutes.  A rested Al could be big in G6.  Team still has a lot talent. Luke was huge. They?ll need JB, DW, PP in MSG.

I fear Brunson has a huge game in him in G6 or 7.  Need to smother him and attack him on D.

My miracle thought is that somehow the magic returns to The Unicorn.

I know we joke about "winning a road Game 6, then losing a home Game 7" and it unfortunately happened in 2023 ECF. But I truly believe Game 6 is the Game 7. If we lose, obviously Knicks advance. But if it goes to a Game 7, I really love our chances to beat them even without Tatum.

We've simply been the better team all series. It's our own fault we're down 3-2, but today was just pure excellence for most of the game and especially the second half. Nothing too flashy either, just a lot of good hustle, and smart decisions.

Friday night is gonna be pretty wild in NY. But make no mistake, there'll be a lot of pressure and tension for NY that night as well. Deep down I think even their players and fans realize that losing on Friday would be really bad

if it gets to a game 7, the officiating you saw tonight will look practically unbiased compared to the whistle the Knicks will get in that game to ensure they win
