I think this is the end of the road for this group as we know it.

Celtics win Game 3.
Knicks win Game 4
Celtics win Game 5

Knicks win game 6.

Knicks win the series 4-2 in probably one of the worst playoff series Boston has played in a long time.

I do not think this team is mentally invested this time around like they were last season. Think guys are injured and they simply have not been good for any of the playoffs on offense. Don't see that changing.

Yeah. I tried finding some hope but nothing over these first 7 playoffs games shows me this team is mentally tough enough and smart enough to win 4 out of the next 5 games.

Something about this version looks off. They do not look like a team that has been through the wars of playoff basketball over and over. They look panicked and look entitled. They play a brand of basketball that is just frustrating and frankly stupid.

I think they are good knowing they won one and they have no killer instinct whatsoever. They had the same bad habits all season and now these are part of who they are. The home losses were an issues all season and now it continues.

I was hoping a switch would be flipped for the playoffs but sadly there is not one. This is who they have been all season.

Sort of.  We've had 20 point leads in both games, and we're a better team.

But, winning 4 out of 5 is tough.

No prediction but Game 3 is still pivotal.  If the Knicks win, it's likely over.  If the C's win, it's a series.  I still believe the C's are a top tier team, but the competition this year makes me doubt that they'll win it all.  But beating the Knicks in this series is very possible.

thought it'd be the C's in 5 before this started but now they'll be lucky to extend this to 6 before NY closes them out.  Knicks have wanted it more and it's shown.  only possible silver lining in this dark cloud of horrible play that could come from losing in this round is that the new ownership may be much more willing than Wyc to kick Joe and his garbage offense/coaching to the curb.

also, if they lose out to the Knicks, I don't think the front office is going to be the least bit hesitant to make several deals to get under that second apron to try to get in a better position to reload in 2 years while the J's are in their prime (assuming they're not shipped out for showing repeatedly through their careers that they don't have a high BBIQ).

having vented, the C's do have more talent and are capable of still winning this but there's no heart in the team this year and Joe has no idea how to coach the team to a win if they aren't hitting shots.

after blowing two 20 Point  leads I wanna see how we react- if we get a lead and then blow it again....then we are cooked. I am not sure what it is, maybe legs if Joe can throw a fresh body in there maybe guys could be able to make a lay-up..4th Q when the game matters most the knicks are the far better team its not even close. We need to show up in the last 6 mins of the game , we were dreadful yesterday it was almost worse than Monday.

you cannot blow 20 point leads TWICE in the semis and expect to advance. you just cant. we should be up 2-0. now we are in a deep hole so deep.

this is the dumbest title team in celtics history with the dumbest coach in HISTORY.

thought they woulda learned from 2022 not finishing when they had GS down? nope... let hawks go 6 and was down 3-2 to philly. didnt even show up until game 4 of ECF then choked at home.

won a title last year now this year?

what is wrong with these people?

zero critical thinking skills in the heat of moment or learning ability. garbage coaching. shame on you brad! SHAME ON U!

LET'S GO CELTICS!

I still believe in the Celtics making this comeback?down 0-2, backs against the wall, but this team has the grit to respond. That said, I cant help but worry that Tatum is playing through a wrist injury. At times, his wrist looks off?like he's favoring it, not quite himself. Am I really the only one noticing this? Its crazy that the media hasn't picked up on it.

Before that wrist issue in the Orlando series, he was locked in- classic Tatum, dominant and fluid. Since then, something's changed. He's still battling, but you can tell it's not at 100%. And let's be real? he's the kind of warrior who won't admit anything until the season's over. He's got that Larry Bird DNA: fight through the pain, no excuses.

I believe we'll see the best version of the Celtics rise in the next game?but Tatum?s wrist could be the X-factor nobody's talking about.

Thoughts?

That is like Olajuwon's Houston Rockets in 1994 or 1995. They did the same thing in the 2nd Round agains the Phoenix Suns. Blew back to back 20pt leads in Q4. Went down 0-2. Came back to beat Phoenix 4-3.

Didn't Tatum's wrist injury happen early in the Orlando series?

He played great for the remainder of the series. Why would it be bothering him more now?

I don't think it is the reason for the downturn in his performances. I think Tatum is just playing badly.
