New nickname for Tatum

In what way is Tatum an anomaly?

I saw this quote.  I don't totally understand it but I think it's saying there's no one else that does what he does from his position in the NBA.

"Jayson Tatum isnt just the best 2 way 3 level scoring point forward in the NBA, HES THE ONLY ONE. THATS AN ANOMALY IF I?VE EVER SEEN ONE," posted a fifth.

"My buddy keeps calling Tatum 'the anomaly,'" added a sixth.

Hm. I guess I'd have to look into this to see if it's true.

I like Tatum, i don't find him corny at all, he seems pretty genuine to me. I do find the people pushing this "The Anomaly" nickname extremely corny.

Good nicknames happen organically. This isn't that.

I don't understand.

It's just haters on Twitter. Those knockoff accounts for each team in particular (ex. KnicksMuse, HoodiGarland, etc.). The Celtics fans have a ton of them too. People on twitter HATE when people bring up JT as a Top-3 MVP candidate lol.

Another thing too, a lot of people felt Tatum's "we did it" was very awkward and scripted. I'll be honest, I kind of thought the same lol, it felt scripted (not as genuine) but whatever. I still don't think he's "corny". If he is, then so is most of the league including Ant, Butler, etc.

Side note, someone on Twitter called Tatum "the Green Gooner" and it made me laugh

Apparently, "the Anomaly" has been added to his Basketball Reference profile.  I was hoping for "Silent T" as he's been such a quite superstar (maybe Subtle T) would be better, but I think we can all agree he's earned the right to a nickname.
