I would say yes, absolutely.

I love Jaylen Brown but a combo of Tatum and Giannis would be unstoppable.

Yes Brown is younger, but Giannis is MVP caliber unstoppable.

with Giannis dominating in the paint and Tatum a three-level threat there would be no way to stop our offense.

Giannis is also an intimidating defender in his own right.

So if this deal became available in the summer, would you do it? I think Brad Stevens would have to seriously consider it. This could be the next necessary step in the Celtics evolution for the next banner!

If we falter in the playoffs then this could probably happen. Although I think the Bucks can get more from Giannis than just JB?

I'd do it.

Not sure Giannis would want to come to Boston but if he's open to it, I'd go for it.

Straight up? Absolutely. Giannis is one of the top five players in the game. Brown isn?t.  Elite bigs are also more rare than wings.

My only concern would be that part of what makes us so lethal is having 4 very good shooters on the floor at all times.

If Giannis can move up to the 5 that becomes moot

Nope. Celtics just a won a chip with Jaylen. Brown is also several years younger. Longer window.

Of course, If we falter in the playoffs, I fully expect the C's to trade Jaylen. Makes too much money for all the turnovers. Doubt we could get Giannis though.

Dirty work trying to trade one of our dudes in the middle of a 20-point beatdown of a rival, lol.  JB can't catch a break.

That said, Giannis is a top 3-ish player in the league.  Of course you do that deal.  My only misgiving is that Giannis just turned 30 and is reliant on athleticism.  He's taken a lot of contact over the years and has missed playoff games in each of the last two seasons.  Most superathletes don't age like Lebron.  But even so, that gives you a three-or-four-year window where you have two of the best players in the game along with good-to-elite depth if ownership continues to pay the bills.  Gotta do that.

The intriguing thing about this option is that Jaylen is the best single player that they could take back in a deal. If the Bucks want to stay relevant they would be looking at either Jaylen, Devin Booker, or Karl Anthony Towns and of those 3, Brown provides the most 2 way value to try to pair with Lillard.

We?ve already seen what Booker looks like on his own and at least when he was younger it didn?t lead to wins. The Knicks have always coveted Giannis, so I could see them trying to push Towns and honestly that might be a good fit with Lillard, but if I?m Milwaukee I would want Jaylen Brown as the building block for the next era.

Giannis might be like KG , he has no major injuries. But I believe the mileage is pretty high and he is due bigger setbacks .  Long term I ll stick with JB .

It is hard not to say no.   The only reason I would say no is if for some reason, Giannis get injured again this year in the playoff.

Giannis has shown that he can play really well next to a big that can shoot decently well in Brook Lopez - I think pairing him with KP would be a supercharged version of that.
