Jeffrey Lurie. Potentially the next owner of the Boston Celtics. I don't mind that at all. I want proven winners and determined folks to run our franchise.

Grata to Jeffrey.

Definitely an Eagles crowd.

Not pulling for either team, but hoping to see some entertaining football and maybe Barkley have a big night.

Prediction: Philly 33 KC 19

I did pretty good with my prediction!
Yup

I wasn't tripping out when I heard Eagles fans doing the Tomahawk chop to the Chiefs in the Superdome while up 34 points, mocking KC.

That was an Eagles home-field

I heard that too.  I was thinking it was the KC fans thanking their team for an amazing run and having pride despite the blowout.  I remember the Celtics crowd doing that in a disappointing game 7 home loss.

Big Philly fans take cynicism and sarcasm to a higher level, so I?m guessing your assessment is right.

I'd like to think so, but I thought the same thing a few years ago when they lost in the Superbowl.

With five appearances in six years, I'm not counting them out.  I'd really like to see the Bills get one, though.  They were my "AFC team" growing up, and their poor fans have been scarred as bad as any fanbase.

That Super Bowl -- at least until the very late third -- reminded me of Super Bowl XX, including Saquan -- Walter Payton in this analogy -- not scoring.  The garbage time TDs made the win not look as dominant, but it was.

I'll be 90 years old and will still prefer a great defense and a great running game over a great passing attack.  That said, hat tip to the Chiefs, because on talent alone they shouldn't have been there.  With Kelce losing a step (or three), they're just not the same team.

Kelce and DHop looked toast. The KC offensive line was outmatched. Joe Thuney, an all pro guard, looked silly at LT. This is why I?m nervous about the Pats drafting Will Campbell, a very solid lineman that also has short arms.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

The Buffalo D was not very good. McDermott needs to go. If I?m Josh Allen, I?m thinking about moving to a franchise that will help him.

Think we can put the Brady/Mahomes stuff to rest for a while.

That was domination last night.  Eagles D doing that with 4 man rushes was impressive.  You could tell out of the gate that the Eagles were locked in.  I've never seen Mahomes get that beat up in a football game before.

Will be interesting to see where things go with KC from here.

If Mahomes had won he would have been anointed by some, though it would have been premature to do so.  Either way he?ll have to do well over the next ten years to overtake Brady.  But that?s still a possibility.  I don?t think the loss ends the discussion by any means. If Brady had faced that pass rush I?m pretty sure it wouldn?t have worked out well for him. The Chiefs O-line was obliterated.  I know the fantasy is that TB would have got the ball out quickly which would have ultimately eased the pressure.  I don?t think so.  But Mahomes will have the next ten years to make his case.

Isn't he where Tom was? 3-2 in Super Bowls after the Giants losses?

I think Mahomes is right on track to catch Brady, assuming the Chiefs can maintain dominance for another decade.

Brady lost his two Super Bowls (of the first 5 he played in) by 3 pts and 4 pts in games that came down to the last few minutes.

Mahomes has now been blasted in 2 Super Bowls  to the tune of 22 pts & 18 pts.   Justified or not, he's going to wear that on his resume.

Color me skeptical of Mahomes going to 5 more Super Bowls in his career & going 4-1 or better.

Two garbage time TDs that should not hold any cases for him so in reality it was a 40-6 win for the Eagles. Tho that one shot to the end zone was a thriller for a second.

And a couple of complete freak plays too.

Then again the Pats had some freak plays go in their favor in their SB wins.  On the whole 6-3 is pretty [dang] good.  Better than 3-2 by any measure.
