Is this about money only ? Sounds like that would be an easy fix since most regulars would probably pitch in. I know I would.

I don't think it's only about money.

I know that we have some software issues that have made it very difficult / impossible to add new members, for instance.

Can the Celtics new owner chip in about 0.0001% to support this forum  :)

Welcome back!

I just checked the CS FB page and despite 1300 member it really is not serving any function.

I am not Reddit literate.  I agree we should have some way of communicating for when things go dark.

Glad the site is up and running again. Have to say, when it does go down for a few days, really makes me appreciate CelticsStrong even more. Thanks to everyone who keeps this site going.

I do like the idea of having a Reddit as a backup for communication when this goes down.

I don?t know what having a Reddit is, but if that means there is somewhere to connect, communicate, get updates when CStrong goes dark, I?m all for it.  What an empty moment it is when you can?t open the blog and you don?t know if or when it will return.

Reddit or discord makes sense.

As an individual group, it really isn't too different than what this forum is, but Reddit as a whole is massive. It's easy enough to avoid all of that, though, and just look at one group (called a 'sub' or 'subreddit' on the site).

Even though I hope this site is active for years to come, I'd still recommend somebody starting a CelticsStrong sub just so it's there if we need it. You can set it so all members need to be approved, too.

I'm a bit busy now and for the next few days but I wouldn't mind starting a Reddit group during this long weekend at some point just as another way for us to communicate if this forum or something suffers another outage. I have a Reddit account myself. We wouldn't have to post every day on it, just add people and have it in case this site goes offline due to something.

I haven't used Reddit, but here it's a whole gigantic rabbit hole of everything ever!  If you set it up, I'll create an account and can help with some admin if that becomes necessary.  Thanks.

I hate Reddit's format so much.  I'm always going to be a traditional forums guy, even though they've basically gone extinct.

That would be awesome Phantom. I know you've been pretty active over there. I change my username often, so I doubt anybody would recognize me.

Roy, I hear what you are saying, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The format isn't as traditional as it is here, but you can sort posts by new or top. And of course you can search for anything.

I'll be here as long as CS exists, but it'd be good to get out in front of an unforeseen closure if it should happen. Not even necessarily as a permanent solution, but a place to reconvene and figure out what's next. It'd be a shame if we all just suddenly lost contact with each other one day.
