I don?t know how one defines if a team is ?likable? or ?unlikable,? but this is a highly likable team. It?s been a while since they were this much fun. Eight wins certainly help, but they look young and hungry.

8 straight wins, and won 10 of their last 11.

Among the most predictable things in sports is a Red Sox run during the season that gets fans excited. This is because they always have some talent and therefore will get it together at certain points.  The question is always whether they have enough to sustain. For the sake of Red Sox fans (of which I?m not) I hope this becomes ones of their magical, unexpected years.

It is pretty cool that the homerun derby is on 7-14 in Atlanta. Good way to make an homage to Henry Aaron.

Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson

This team sure looks like it has found its heart and identity since the Devers trade. Almost like 2004 when they got rid of Nomar to everyone's disappointment.

Roman Anthony is the youngest Boston Red Sox player to record a nine-game hitting streak since Tony Conigliaro in 1965. The streak reached nine games on July 13, 2025. He is going to be a beast.

We have a ton of young, exciting players who truly appear to be enjoying themselves and rising to the occasion as well. Rafaela, Abreu,, Mayer, Anthony...reminds me when we were stocked before our last few World Series Runs.

Our pitching looks stacked now at the top of the rotation. A legit Number 1 in Crochet who has 160 strikeouts already this year. Bello is firing on all cylinders now and is borderline number 1 as well. Giolito looks great so far too.

We have our longest winning streak since 2018. I am sure none of us thought that would be possible after Devers was booted from the team(go check out his numbers so far, he is struggling with back issues supposedly).

Oh, Bregman is returning soon too.

Great run by the Sox into the All Star break.  8 games over 0.500 (53-45).  2nd of 3 in the wildcard race.  Bregman back.  Story actually hitting.  Young players playing very well.  Great place to be at this point in the season for this team.

It will be all about pitching moving forward.  Crochet is at 129 IP, how many more does he have in him?  Giolito has been solid but will he hold up (he has been better than his career averages)?  Bello seems to have settled in and should be more than adequate as the #3 starter.  Buehler?  I am not so sure about him.

Another solid pitcher would be huge, a solid #2.  So what is up with Tanner Houck?  He was an all star ace a year ago, now what is he?  I don't know but if he could figure it out or get healthy or overcome whatever it is that is the problem, what a huge addition that could be.  And they don't have to give up anything to get him.
