Tatum can easily put up 40 tonight if he wanted to. They have no one who can defend him.

Garland has also been terrible (1-11 shooting)

In a playoff series against Cleveland we will definitely need Porzingis, and a little Tillman. Queta did not look good that first half (I still like his overall development this season)

There's been a lot of talk about how much of the Cavs' streak is shooting variance and a hot streak. They're clearly shooting way over their heads right now, but what I noticed tonight is that it feels like a ton of their threes are above the break threes off the dribble, which are certainly going to be prone to shooting variance.

The Cavs are good, but I do think their hot shooting streak is really making them seem better than they really are.

Okay, am I being biased because we're making them, or are we doing a much better job with our three point shot selection tonight than normal? Doesn't feel like we're just spamming threes all night like usual, and the vast majority of our threes are good looks that are open and/or off the penetration and kick?

I mean, we're only at 22 attempts, so we're actually pretty far below our normal per game attempts I believe. Feels like a quality over quantity thing tonight.

Possibly, though Tatum has taken (and made) a couple of the dreaded step-backs.

But yes, a lot of the attempts are off ball & player movement and it often results in better shooting. Pay attention Jayson.
I'm thrilled we are not on course for 50+ attempts, though Tatum and Co. could easily forget why the 3's were falling in the 1st half (shot selection) and just start jacking them up recklessly the way they are prone to do.

One other thing .... Have the recent extra days off allowed for some real practice time that has improved their execution on offense and defense ?

They've also been allowed to tee off on a lot of weak competition.  Good wins over the Warriors, Lakers, Knicks on the road.  The rest are a lot of bottom-feeders.

14 for 22 from 3 has been fun but we can not count on that continuing. Take care of the ball, no turnovers and don?t give up offensive rebounds. We lost both stats by a little in the first half.  Need to take care of that in the second.

Brown needs to stop forcing it. Too much of him individually tonight.

How is it that Ty Jerome is shooting 54% from 3 and 63% from two this year?

Eh, the same could be said about us, and I think they're right there with us on strength of schedule so far. But honestly I think that's just a feature of playing in the Eastern Conference thus far with so many down teams.
