Porzingis Injury Update (Returns 11/25!)

Getting him back around Christmas time would be ideal. We have the Sixers Christmas Day, then Pacers two games in a row, and then to start the New Year we have a 4-game West Coast trip (MIN, HOU, OKC, DEN).

Our late November to December schedule though is pretty easy. I wouldn't rush him back

Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis plans to make his season debut tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell ESPN. Porzingis returns five months after undergoing foot surgery.

This is game 18.  That means there are 65 games remaining (including tonight).  Assuming no back to back games for Porzingis, that is still probably 60 games or so if he plays regularly from now to the end of the regular season.  Since missing the entire 2018-19 season, he has averaged about 55 games per season, with a high of 65 games with WAS in 2022-23.

He played 57 regular season games and 7 playoff games last season.

I would try to keep him under 50 regular season games.  His body is just not likely to hold up.

Well he's back earlier than i thought he would be. He'll probably be on a minutes limit and probably won't play back to backs, but hopefully he can stay healthy.

Thus far in his Celtics career he's played 64 out of 118 possible games (regular and post season). That's about 54% of possible games played.
