Trouble Posting in Game Thread?

I have no idea why it worked for me suddenly today. I didn?t try any of the fixes as I didn?t understand most of them.  But you deserve a TP for persistence. You are current record holder for 38 consecutive tries.

Also I've concluded that there's no guaranteed way to post...sometimes Incognito works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes Firefox works, sometimes not. It's like roulette...just gotta keep clicking

It's been nearly a week but this morning I was able to log in! I feel like I hit the little lotto...

Can the site be restored to the last known working date or is losing the posts from then to now to great of a loss? I have been unable to post almost 99% of the time on mobile  and desktop and even this post I am in the many attempts right now and have used safari and brave and chrome to test.

Good suggestion, if there's a stable backed up version out there that is also compatible with whatever server issues we've had.

So today I log in first time, and it works!

But something I've also noticed is that, typically after one hour of being logged in, even though you're logged in that's when you also get messages saying "session verification failed" or that you just aren't allowed to make posts. And then if you log out you basically can't log back in anyways lol

I have noticed that too.   My last time it took 82 clicks to post in the game thread, but now this will probably work on one try.

Try alternating from post to preview for a half dozen times...it has worked for me.

Here's what I've found for me...I just keep posting "test" in this thread until it goes through, usually it seems to be easier with one or two word posts. Sometimes it takes 10 tries, sometimes 50...but once you are able to post once you are "in" so to speak, and can post again for at least that session. When you close the tab or window or browser or if a certain period of time elapses you are "out" (even if still logged in) and have to try again.

Also, the only browser that seems to work on PC is Firefox for me...on mobile I can post on Chrome as long as it's in Incognito mode. Go figure 

It's extremely frustrating though because it's random. I support BTB's suggestion to roll back to a previously, more stable, version of the forum DB. Previously we were having issues with the forum being down sporadically, but these login/timeout posting issues all started in the last week or two.
