Minnesota had 88pts in Gm 1.

Will they crack 90pts in Gm 2?

They are on 74pts with 11min to go. Down 19pts.

Minny got to 90pts with 5min to go.

They had good bench scoring to start the period. NAW has had 7pts, Naz 2pts, Jaden chipped in with 4pts. Ant came in with about 9min to play. He was cold and slowed down the scoring but has since got hot in the 5-7min range with 6pts of his own. Gobert got a dunk.

No Randle. Coach has gone with the bench mob.

Their coach even took out Gobert and went with a 1 big (Naz) lineup. Jaden at PF. 3 guards. Ant, NAW, Conley. Interesting there is no DiVincenzo here. More of an offensive guard than Conley.

Minnesota have been trying to match OKC's scrambling / trapping defense with this small ball lineup.

No Randle for whole Q4. Stuck with that lineup to finish the game.

It feels like the OKC vs MIN is pretty much over now. A 2-0 lead for OKC will be very difficult for Minnesota to come back from. They would need to win 4 of their 5. I don't think they are capable of beating OKC 4 out of 5 games. OKC are too good for that.

This season, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged 8.8 free throw attempts, making 7.7, but the past two games against the Minnesota Timberwolves have seen an increase. He attempted 14 in Game 1 and 15 in Game 2 as Michael Malone called him a ?foul artist? on ESPN?s Scott Van Pelt show.

I think that?s an easy way to put it. Obviously, you watch the last series against Denver. I?ll tell you what, you got to be ultra disciplined, Malone said. Yeah, it?s almost impossible. You think about trying to guard the best offensive players in the league nowadays, it becomes almost impossible. Any contact, a lot of times, offensive players like Shai will initiate the contact, will hook his arm, looking to draw that contact. He is a foul artist, as I mentioned earlier today, Malone said. So discipline, and you?re hoping that the referees read how the game is being whistled after allowing you to be a little bit more aggressive. You can do that. But once again, he?s been living at the foul line. 14 free throw attempts game, 15 tonight, that?s not going to get it done. via Clutch Points

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

It is like D-Wade all over again.

SGA and Wade are so quick and so slippery with their handle that they can get a half step on a defender, then a little bit of contact and it is a foul.

Once they get that half step, you can't get close to him. It is an automatic foul.

They had this stat on ESPN.

(1) Indiana have been down 9+pts in the final minute of Q4/OT and come back to win 3 times already in this playoff run.

(2) From 1997-98 til this season, there have been 1,414 playoff games were a team has been down 9+pts in the final 1 minute of Q4/OT. In those 1,414 games, they were 0 wins and 1,414 losses.

Yes, but half of them aren?t fouls. Hopefully the spotlight on this will tighten things up.

Only way this changes if is the refs stop rewarding his baiting .

That was a nice half of basketball. Pacers did well in the 1st. Knicks did well the 2nd. Pretty even game so far.

This is a very entertaining game. Just makes it more frustrating for us Boston fans because you can see how a disciplined team can give NY fits. No over reliance on threes, just mix the offense up.

Officially impressed with the pacers, crazy what they did to the Cavs and now this?they?re healthy and peaking at the right time and have grown a lot since last season

And Indy takes a 2-0 lead. There was a play with under a minute left, Neismith got the offensive board and held on the ball to reset. They were just up 1 i think. Can?t help but look back at that Horford play when in an almost  similar situation, he went for the shot and missed instead of milking the clock a bit.

Wasn?t our year, we were going to get smoked by the pacers or thunder anyways, but as it turned out couldn?t even get past the Knicks

Maybe but it?s still a complete embarrassment to lose to this Knicks team. A joke.

Except for last year, it hasn't been their year for many years because of the way they play and their dumb coach. Of course Tatum getting hurt didn't help.
