I don?t think embiid should be on this team. I don?t like Steve Kerr and how he has done everything to alienate guys because he can?t figure out how to use 12 guys that can do everything you want.

You want to roll with a group in closing time in a close game then that is fine.

But not being able to figure out how to use Tatum in every game is just a fail.

Steph, Embiid & LeBron = 71pts on 26-39 FGA

Rest of team = 24pts on 9-22 FGA

Notable how few shots the rest of the team took. Durant took 8 of them. The rest only took 14 shots. Booker was 5th with 4 shots. Nobody else took more than 3. Ant with 3. Jrue, Bam & D White with 2 apiece. AD with 1.

Serbia had 10 extra shots. 3 fewer turnovers (7 to 10) and more offensive rebounds (9 to 4). 8 possessions there. US two extra FTs another possession there.

I wonder how much of this being a close game had to do with US being unable to force turnovers. Serbia being able to take care of the ball and limit US fastbreaks.

Yep. Can?t stand them. The announcers calling lebron ?captain america? is puke inducing. Congrats on barely beating an out of shape joker with a bunch of bums, yay!

I have actually found this to be the most likable team since the 2000 squad. I prefer them to the Redeem Team of 2008 & 2012.

The only guy that is irritating me is Embiid.

I am enjoying the basketball being played by LeBron, Durant, Ant. The two Celtics guards. Bam & AD. And to a lesser extent Steph & Booker and sometimes Tatum.

Yeah most likely. Mostly irrelevant though just like the warriors will be this upcoming season.

I think part of the hatred is you have guys like Lebron, Curry, Kerr, Embiid. Guys with deep histories with Boston so it makes it tougher to root for.  Then you got guys like Booker & Ant who are getting major run out there over Tatum and it just drives you bonkers.

Curry is the greatest shooter ever. He?s the only player that I feel like every shot he shoots is gonna go in

I like having close games for team USA. It makes it much more fun. I still think the 1992 Dream Team was the best ever but I think if that team was in today's Olympics, no way would they be beating teams by 50+ points. Not a knock on today's team, I just think the world has caught up that even non-NBA players are not scared and can hang with our best.

Few things today...

-I did not want to listen to Warrior fans when they told us how overrated Kerr was as a coach. Boy they were right.

-Did not play JT (who would have defended and rebounded which they needed); played AD 4 minutes and once again ignored Halliburton. I am pretty sure those guys could have helped but Kerr still has not figured out how to play different combinations. He has an easy job really. One quarter the first 5, the next the next 5. What a cop out.

-I do not want the Celtics guys getting a ton of minutes. I prefer another banner. But I sure hope the disrespect JT and JB have gotten this season will fuel them to make a huge run again.

But come on. Tatum is the only American player that was first team NBA this season, won a NBA title, improved all other aspects of his game and he gets iced out for a small Booker and even D White who did not play well today.

-The more I watch Embiid, the less that guy concerns me this season. I do not care what the sixers brought in they aren't beating the Cs in a playoff series.
