Leonard should just retire.

Kawhi actually played in 68 games last season which is the most he?s played since the 2016-17 season. That was his last season on the Spurs.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I think it is kind of odd that DWhite is selected over JB when the player you are replacing is KL.  Good for DWhite though.

Was KL anticipated to play a lot of minutes at the Olympics?  Or was he kind of a legacy selection and wouldn't have played a lot either way because of injury concerns?

I mean, Tatum, Lebron, and KD are all clearly above him on the depth chart, and if playing small Ant is there, too. So I don?t think he was going to play much.

I get the sense that they wanted more of a high-level role player fit who wouldn?t demand as much time and wouldn?t be upset about not playing too much.
Perhaps true, but look at it from JB?s perspective: Left off any all-NBA team, ECF MVP, Finals MVP, #2 player on NBA championship team. I would think he is annoyed.

I would understand if he is disappointed.   Guys like KL make the team when they aren't even healthy, and you just helped bring a title to the C's and are still overlooked.  Not that many chances in a a career to play for your country in the olympics.   Hopefully that title, and all the mvp hardware lightens the frustration.

Wow, Jrue starting over JT. Kerr is serious.

Well, Jrue was not the Celtic I expected to start haha but this Canada team is small, though I would?ve liked to see some mismatch opportunities.

This younger, more athletic group of Hali, Edwards, Tatum, AD, and Bam definitely looking better than the older group to start. Tatum looking really good on both ends.

That's one thing I worried about with this group - that the coaching may utilize the older guys too much just based on legacy when the younger guys are better able to keep up.

My exact thought. The Ant/Bam combo in the NBA would be unstoppable. Just sayin? 8)

not really impressed with the USA team (only watching since the 2nd quarter though)
Embiid has been pretty bad.

Tatum and Ant just dominating out there, even with limited reps. They're a combined 8-10. Clearly the two best players on the court right now.

Embiid has been pretty bad.
Powell did a respectable job covering Embiid. In the 2nd unit, Bam outclassed Olynyk.

Proud of the good jobs by Tatum and Holiday in this game.

Yeah it wasn't all bad, Jrue was playing some great def out there.   I didn't see too much of Tatum, but I am sure he was ready to go.   Just seems like USA should be dominating canada more, but I guess it is early days.

That is a crap starting lineup. Why is Devin Booker playing SF?

Tatum should be starting.

Yeah, clearly seems like a weird fit with a lot of age and limited size and athleticism. Don?t understand it either.

Grant Hill was fantastic in those 1996 Olympics.
