Still questioning what?s going on with tatums 3 point shot.
Hasn?t hit a single one in the showcase games. Am I crazy or did he use to be a borderline elite shooter who has been in a slump for literally months?
Somehow holiday is a much more important player to team usa

I'm not sure about borderline elite shooting. He's shot 35-40% when given volume (basically the years after his first two years).

I bet he sees a shooting specialist this offseason to get back on track.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Tatum shot above his career average from 3 this year. He obviously didn't shoot that wrll in the playoffs, but when you are consistently double teamed and forced to carry such a heavy burden offensively l, couple with playing out of position, it affects your shooting.

Having watched most of the Celtics games this year, I never would have guessed Tatum shot 37.6% from 3 on volume.

I guess I have been blinded by the playoff shooting woes.

Has nothing to do with the double team excuse. There?s a clear hitch in his jump shot and it was awful through the playoffs and he still isn?t hitting wide open shots for team USA.

Agree. He needs to shoot better, and I have confidence that he will.

Don?t understand the Embiid thing more than anything. Both Davis and bam are better international players.
Also really eye opening how important jrue is

That original Dream Team would destroy any of these USA Olympic teams since then and it wouldn't be close.

USA plays way too slow and passive on offense

USA getting destroyed inside. It's hard not to look at the USA team and think "these guys don't know how to play basketball as well as the players they are playing."

Reads are always a step slow. Over-thinking decisions. Always a half-step slow on defense. Out of position. Standing next to each other on offense. It's ugly.

This is the way I've seen every Team USA since the NBA switched to these heliocentric offenses & PnR obsessed offenses. Most of the players have no idea what to do if they do not have the ball in their hands at the top of the key running a PnR.

They are like lost children out there.
