Joe Ingles? career stats are similar to another Creighton alumni, Doug McDermott. If Baylor sticks around for 10 years and has similar numbers that would be a good result for pick #30.

If he has a Danny Ainge level career, that would be phenomenal.

Future GM in 2046?

I know I'll get killed for this but watching clips of Scheierman he looks like a G league version of Luka... There, I said it!  ;D

So you?re saying we got the next Luka for cheap?

That's exactly what I'm saying!  ;)

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I just watched these highlights below and now am officially excited about this pick. He has an amazing shot and great instincts as a passer too. Love it.

Hopefully our version of Luka gives effort on D.

He also is great at scoring off the dribble.  I will keep saying he?s more of a bigger Pritchard than he is a Hauser replacement if we?re looking at roles on the Celtics.  Hauser is an elite spot-up shooter.  Scheierman was not last year, but he was great at all the other aspects of shooting/scoring.

I agree he moves and plays the game like a bigger PP (6'6" vs 6'1").  Also, for a lefty he goes to his right often with layups and strong dunks, with his right hand.  I like his style of play.

He's bigger and a little different, but Luke Kennard was also a high school quarterback and plays kind of similarly, so that's something fans at home can think about," Celtics assistant general manager Austin Ainge told NBC Sports Boston's Chris Forsberg on the Celtics Talk Podcast.

"We're excited about Baylor. He's tough. He's played at a high level, five years of college, he's 23. He's a grown man. He can play."

A buddy of mine told me he went to the Nebrask-Creighton game this last year. He told me that Scheierman loved taking shots that took the air out of the building, interrupted runs, and deflated the Nebraska team.

I liked that.

Oh yeah, a completely different player than Hauser.  He's gonna be the one who sets Hauser up, or decides to shoot it himself.

The one thing I noticed is that he carries the ball so egregiously at the top of the key when using a pick.

Fortunately they don't call that in the NBA!

I think he comps pretty nicely with Dalton Knecht.

Baylor 23yrs old
6'6" 205lbs
18.5ppg, 9rbs, 1.9ast
45% / 38%(3) / 88%(FT)

Knecht 23yrs old
6'5" 204lbs
21.7ppg, 4.9, 1.7ast
46% / 40%(3) / 77%(FT)

The main difference is Baylor shot it 14 attempts per game, Knecht shot it 16.  So he made one more bucket per game.

FTAs were 3.2. (Baylor) to 5.7 (Knecht), so Dalton drew one extra shooting foul per game too.  He might be a little more aggressive on drives than Baylor.

Still, those two are pretty comparable.  One went with the 17th pick, the other went with the 30th pick in the draft.

Decided to compare Sam and Payton's final years in college with Baylor's.

Sam (age-23) FG%-.503; 3P%-.417; TRB-6.8; AST-1.8
BAS (age-23) FG%-.448; 3P%-.381; TRB-9.0; AST-3.9
PP   (age-22) FG%-.468; 3P%-.415; TRB-4.3; AST-5.5
