I love the Celtics. I spend a lot of time thinking about them, watching games and reading what other Celtics lovers think.

I would have to find, like, 7 new hobbies if the Celtics moved to Jersey. I would absolutely undoubtedly quit the team.

A week after a city-sanctioned report cast doubt on the economic benefits of the Philadelphia 76ers? proposed facility in Center City, the team received a written proposal from the state of New Jersey detailing a transformative arena project in Camden that the team could own and operate, should it choose to relocate to New Jersey. It is a proposal that the Sixers will look at seriously, a team spokesperson told ROI-NJ. ? via ROI-NJ

For the team that could make some sense, that's just across the river. Like the Jets and Giants moving to East Rutherford, though I think New York real estate is a bit more of an issue for a football stadium than Philly real estate is for a basketball arena...
I'm bitter.

Have Cleveland made any changes since last season?

They have the exact same team, right?

G: Garland
G: Donavon Mitchell, LeVert
F: M Strus, Okoro
F: E Mobley, G Niang
C: J Allen, Dean Wade, T Thompson

Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray has agreed on a four-year, $208 million maximum contract extension, his agents Jeff Schwartz and Mike George tell ESPN. The deal ? guaranteeing Murray $244M over next five seasons ? secures a franchise cornerstone to the Western contender.

Man, that's a lot for Murray.  The best version of him is worth it but he's so inconsistent.

They took Jaylon Tyson 20th overall, but I think that's it. If Tyson can't crack the rotation then they essentially have no changes this year

Cleveland does not look like a problem in the East esp. because they can't figure out how to play Garland and Mitchell together.

They will be a 5 or 6 seed and done in round one.

Yeah I think they need to trade Allen and Garland and build around Mitchell and Mobley...

Half-cooked trade ideas to balance out the team...

- Trade Allen & Niang for Julius Randle

- Trade Garland, LeVert, and Porter Jr. for Keldon Johnson, Tre Jones, Zach Collins, Malaki Branham, 3 1st rounders

PG: Tre Jones
SG: Donovan Mitchell
SF: Keldon Johnson
PF: Julius Randle
C: Evan Mobley

bench

PG: Jaylon Tyson
SG: Sam Merrill
SF: Max Strus
PF: Dean Wade
C: Zach Collins

Malaki Branham & Tristan Thompson to round out the bench.

Not perfect but i think it would be a more fun and interesting team than what they have right now.

Also: Atkinson was a good hire and should help.

C's aren't alone. That's about 715 committed on George + Embiid + Maxey now.

It's gonna cost a lot to keep cores around in the league.

How many games will Embiid and George play combined? 90?

Rockets buy out AJ Griffin as he is expected to step away from the game. Strange - I saw him as a kid with a ton of upside when he was on the Hawks just a couple seasons ago. Not sure what the story there is, but I guess playing professional basketball as an occupation isn?t for everyone.

What's a bit weird to me is that it seems I've read 3-4 stories where a player is bought out or "let go" by a team this offseason because they no longer want to be in the NBA and it's a mutual parting. Maybe they each had their reasons but having 3-4 in the same offseason is kind of wild.
