All 10 Miami Heat fans are so salty. It is so dang rewarding.

Crying about how it is not fair that the team the wins the title every season knocks them out of the playoffs...

I am so glad Boston beat them along the way.

On a side note, wonder how the Heat and Jimmy Butler feels. They've made two Finals but lost both rather convincingly. And at the end of the day, the C's with Tatum + Brown now have a ring. They have more than "Himmy Butler".

So do the Bucks who are another rival of Miami's in recent years (Jrue with two rings). And Miami also lost out on chances to acquire guys like Holiday, Lillard, Beal, etc. while keeping around Herro and the others who are mostly hit or miss.

For all the "Heat Culture" and talks about Miami being in people's heads, now they are on the backseat while Boston and others have a championship in their pocket. And unless they make major moves this offseason somehow, I don't see how Miami is better than a play-in again.

Lot of people in our section was calling Luka "fat" and I will say, he looked very gassed again in the 2nd half. That airball on a wide open 3, and then short-rimming some other shots that's usually automatic for him. The C's did an awesome job making him work on both ends and it clearly affected him. I wouldn't call him fat though, but he could get in a little better shape IMO in terms of stamina.

he is NOT fat. I am FAT! LOL

instead of that ohio state song " HANG ON SLOOPY"

we shoulda sang " hang on luka...........luka hang on"

but i did love the fans chanting

KYRIE SUCKS

KYRIE SUCKS

KYRIE SUCKS

i actually started chanting with them at home. LOL

my wife laughed.

Oh yeah the Kyrie chants and booing were DEAFENING. There were also lots of "F--- Kyrie" chants right outside the building before and after. It clearly affected him, you can't tell me it doesn't whenever he plays at TD Garden. Sometimes he attempts a long 3 which to me is him trying to answer the crowd with an "F YOU" of his own but if he misses, then his team gets screwed in the process. Boston capitalized on quite a few of his misses with quick transition buckets or just momentum.

They're the lunch-pail champions with the best coaching in the league, and that's what really matters in the end.

embiid? meh

bam and jimmy? meh

indy was tough and fast no doubt.

knickerbockers? could be tough.

we could face denver or OKC or minny next year in finals.

Knicks and Pacers will rise and become the biggest threats. Pacers have Haliburton, Siakam and could potentially add a 3rd star (or solid player) in the offseason. We'll see. Knicks when healthy are pretty deep and have Brunson, Randle, Robinson, Hart, etc. Maybe Anunoby? Depends where he goes.

I guess Philly as well but it depends who they get. If Paul George and they keep most of their team? Okay I'll definitely consider them. Otherwise meh.

Orlando could be interesting if they add Klay and/or Paul George. I think those two + Anunoby will be the interesting players to monitor and see where they land. Depending on that, we can have a better idea on who the true threats are. But NY and Indiana are rising. Indiana probably played us the toughest of all the teams in the playoffs which is funny to say since we did sweep them.

EDIT: I forgot, if Mitchell actually decides to leave Cleveland and demands out, it could get interesting

I actually think this is fair. Maybe OKC ahead of Dallas, though OKC needs to be a bit more active and search for another player to pair with SGA and Chet. OKC did give Dallas the toughest series in the West out of all of them too.

The Cryami Heat are still moping. "If Jimmy Butler and Scary Terry weren't injured, we'd smoked the Celtics!!"

Lakers tears in LA today are delicious  :P

"They had the easiest path in NBA history."
"They never played the Gianni's Bucks. They never played Embiid 76ers. They never played the Knicks. Doesn't count in my books"
"Still can't win like how the Lakers were in the 80s. We dominated each decade going foward. Celtics gonna go on anther 16 year drought for their next one bahaha"

We were always ahead idk why the media was thinking we just got the lead again. Lakers have 11 banners. 5 in Minneapolis. They also had 1 in Disney World.  8)

This was a pure marketing move by the lakers that the NBA and media were more than happy to go along with.  Prior to the early 2000's no one ever brought up the Minneapolis championships.  The lakers had experienced their own championship drought when Phil Jackson became coach.  I think that was the first year in Staples Center (moving from the forum) and they won a few.  It was only then that those extra five started getting mentioned.  It was a chasing history themed PR move that the lakers came up with and everyone ran with it.

ESPN was talking today about the best franchise in the NBA.  SAS's picked the Lakers because they went to more finals then the Celtics.  There were a few good arguments like well the C's went to less and won more and 9 of those finals from the Lakers they lost to the Celtics.  No one unfortunately brought up the fact that 5 of the championships were in Minnesota.  To me either they don't know or didn't state it to back their narrative.  Why does losing more championships make you the better franchise.  The Celtics are clearly the best franchise in the NBA and outside of the Yankees (Who I hate.  Guardians fan here) and Patriots are the best or a top two Franchise in sports history.  The Canadiens have won 24 stanley cups but I don't think Hockey has the fan base of the NFL, MLB or NBA.

The Lakers championships from Minnesota would be like the Green Bay Packers counting their nine pre-Super Bowl era NFL championships and the Cleveland Browns counting their four NFL championships (1950, 1954?55, 1964) and four All-America Football Conference (AAFC) championships (1946?49).  It's garbage that they consider another cities victories as part of their history.

the Lakers have more playoff appearances. and more finals appearances. And while Boston has 18 titles, 11 of them were before 1970 in a vastly different time in the sport. I think that matters some (no one claims Princeton and Yale are the top college football programs because they have the most titles).

And of course the titles in Minnesota count. They were won by the franchise or are you going to count them for the Timberwolves.

Do the Sixers have 2, 3, or 4 championships?
