Boston needs to just win 2 out of the next 5 games. Mavs need to win 4/5 so there is that.

I feel it would be a disaster even with a hobbled KP for us to lose 4/5.
Agreed.

I'd see it as close to a 50-50 if we were to start and play the whole series without Porzingis. But with a 2-0 advantage and needing to only win 2 out of 5, it would take a collapse of epic proportions to lose the series from here.

Our odds of winning from here have to be above 90%. Maybe above 95%.

I am getting shades of 2010 Game 6 NBA Finals where Perk went down and the night was just agonizing. As in, getting blown out.

Good news with this? The injury announcement was made before the game. Bad news? We lose a key player that has implications to strategies.

Best case scenario Boston wins the title in 4

Worst case scenario they come home tied 2-2 and it?s a three game series with home court

Most likely coming home 3-1. I would absolutely be giddy if they can win game 3.

I can?t see Boston losing both on the road after they?ve been amazing on the road all postseason imo.

Also we are due for a big shooting game one of these nights from 3. Especially the way they guard us

I agree but thinking about the suns/bucks finals from a few years ago gives me nightmares. Suns were a  1 seed front running soft team that made it through an injury riddled west and won the first 2 games in the finals and all there fans were ?sUnS iN 4? and then the best player just completely took over and the suns lost in 6.

Say what you will, but Tatum's best games even this postseason have mostly been on the road. He hasn't been *bad* but yeah, the shooting needs to be a lot better than 12-38 through the first two games. But there's still time and an opportunity to assert himself. It'd be nice if he can do it in the road games, I think we'll need it.

I would be more concerned if we shot very well, Dallas shot poorly and we only won by 7 on Sunday, but that wasn't the case. Boston also shot terribly including on wide open looks. I doubt that'll happen four times in the next five games, it just won't. Boston feels due for a game where they light it up from 3.

I think having jrue on this team because of this exact reason is massive. He?s going to make sure this team realizes what his bucks did.

Dallas isn?t winning 4 in a row against Boston.

Dallas cannot play defense and guard us anywhere near the bucks with Giannis and Jrue holiday. And those suns didn?t play much defense either

Also if I recall cp3 got hurt so that team was just Devin booker and ayton at that point. This team is much better.

1- we aren't that soft
2 - we have better defenders for Luka / Kyrie than the Suns had for Greek

How much does Luka have to take over for them to win?  He had +30 points in the first two games.   Do you expect him to drop 40-50 each game for the rest of the series?  I don't.

I think he's due for a 40-burger in the upcoming game. C's tend to make opposing players look like Michael Jordan for some reason.

I might not really watch much of the road games, too much anxiety especially for a Finals.

Slightly superstitious too, we had our good runs in Game 2 when I wasn't watching. But the poor start + Mavs going on that 9-0 run late (before the DWhite block + Jaylen layup) occurred while I was glued to the TV lol. Even Game 1 I was away for parents' anniversary and they blew them out, but when we turned on the TV that's when Dallas cut the lead to 8.
